Devil's Third in 3D "as an option"

Valhalla Studios' Tomonobu Itagaki says he wants his Devil's Third for Xbox 360 and PS3 with 3D if he can, but wouldn't have it "built around it".

Itagaki-san would like to "at least offer it" optionally. PS3 is fine and 3D on Xbox 360 "can also be made compatible" if done in parallel. It's out 2012.

"It's not a game that's built around it, but I'd like to at least offer it as an option," said studio boss Tomonobu Itagaki. "I know we can make it compatible on PS3. Xbox 360 too can also be made compatible if we do it side by side."

Devil's Third is being published by THQ and they've already expressed interest in 3D, with core games executive VP Danny Bilson saying: "For now it's fun and fun is good and interesting, but we're definitely experimenting and have a couple of projects in 3D that you'll see at the show." This was said pre-E3 2010.

Devil's Third releases on Xbox 360 and PS3 in 2012. Will Microsoft have officially endorsed the 3D TV scene by then by 'patching in' support like Sony did with firmware?
