No Super Street Fighter IV on PC because of piracy says Capcom

Capcom's Street Fighter series producer Yoshinori Ono has revealed that while the arcade version of SSFIV is 99 percent PC compatible, it won't release.

PC Street Fighter IV was a strong seller globally but it was also "number one in piracy." Ono-san appreciated the love for the series but hard sales matter.

This means that Super Street Fighter IV is only playable in the arcade and on the Xbox 360 and PS3 consoles. While piracy did help spread the Street Fighter name around more Capcom can't accept the IP would simply be "free" in certain areas.

Unless some form of powerful copy protection was found, Ono-san says they'll continue to give PC a miss for the series. SSFIV already runs on Taito's DirectX-based Type X2 arcade board so a PC version wouldn't be much of a stretch as it's practically ready.

He also ruled out a digital-only release because not everyone has access to online distribution platforms. Super Street Fighter IV releases on Xbox 360 and PS3 April 2011.

Yeah, agree, I can understand (even if I don't support) that people pirated this on PC-. The game isn't optimised for the PC, you more or less shall have a controller and understand that it is an Xbox controller cause everything is about the a,b,x and y buttons - oh and GFWL...
Sorry, but this is one game I reallyregret buying.
And the big selling point, sorry On but your arguments for not going with online only stinks, is the online fightmodes. If you pirated the game - you miss out on that since you can't run GFWL or is GFWL not optimised to hande authentication??? hmmm? eh? eh?
Which means that the games main selling argument for PC was sorely missed anyway. Be glad people played it and kept the name alive instead and cut your losses - but don't blame an underdeveloped game and poor positionin on piracy - choose STEAM next time instead...

Yeahy, go buy "Blacklight - Tango Down" on Impulse for $3.95. I know that's off-topic, but it is a multiplatform game.
Well, that's my excuse and it's hella fun.
