2K Games producer Denby Grace has issued an online apology to those who took exception to his use of the term "gay" followed by "space marines".

It was a remark he made about gamer obsessions today in videogames. Grace says he was referring to the "hyper-macho 'bromance'" in today's shooters.

"I would like to take this opportunity to address a statement that I thoughtlessly made while doing a recent interview," Grace explains. "I was attempting to end the discussion in a jocular fashion by commenting on the hyper-macho "bromance" featured in a lot of military shooters that I play. Regrettably, I did so in a manner that was insensitive.

"I can assure you that was not my intent and for that, I apologize unreservedly."
The issue being raised now is was an apology really necessary? The question posed to Grace in an interview was 'What do you think is the biggest problem current games suffer from?'

The producer's reply was: "It's a very good question and maybe a little general for a concise answer. An obsession with gay space marines." Should he have said sorry for it?

I don't know why these people always have to say sorry if they say something to offend people in the Gay/Lesbian community. Guess they have to keep ther Reputation clean.
