The latest DLC for Gearbox Software's Borderlands is now available to the Pandora masses, and it comes with a cheeky dig at publisher EA.

The DLC description says that in order to "combat second hand sales of used munitions" the Interplanetary Ninja Assassin Claptrap was activated.

Its these little tongue-in-cheek moments that make the world go round, as well all know our planet's existence depends on laughter, as otherwise we'd perish. EA's Project Ten Dollar is about making some cash from second-hand sales.

EA has also launched their Online Pass system which requires owners of a pre-owned multiplayer title to pay a one-off fee to activate its online features. Gearbox has obviously noticed this issue is ripe for some light parody and seized the moment.

"To combat second hand sales of used munitions among greedy, haggling treasure hunters on Pandora, the Hyperion Corporation have decided to activate the Interplanetary Ninja Assassin Claptrap,” reads the downloadable content description.

New Robot Revolution is the latest release of DLC for Borderlands and finally puts to use the 'Interplanetary Ninja Assassin Claptrap' that is seen at the end of the game.
