We've got a lot of time for 1C. Not only are they a rather nice bunch of Russians, but they're also the creators of one of the finest WW2 RTS experiences around. If only they would give us the damn expansion already...

Anyway, today the company announced their first MMO title - Royal Quest. This Fantasy MMORPG is being brought to you by the same guys who brought you the King's Bounty and Space Ranger series, Katauri Interactive.

Set in the land of Aura, Royal Quest sees you take on the role of a hero to help try and free the land from evil Alchemists, who are trying to develop a cheap and non-polluting source of fuel. Or evil stuff, we can't remember.

The game will feature conquerable Castles as a major gameplay element that can be built upon and enhanced, PvP and PvE naturally, Pets, and combining magical elements.

No further details are present but the game is currently pegged for a Spring 2012 release. Still a fair way aways yet, but we'll let you know if we hear anything else.
