Classic 'Grand Theft Auto 2' crime spree on XBLA and PSN soon?

A clock and date has mysteriously parked on the official GTA2 website, what this means outside of an alien invasion or the apocalypse no one knows for sure.

'May 22' is the date; this could mean the futuristic crime-athon will be legally gracing both Xbox Live Arcade and the PlayStation Network.

There's no official word from Rockstar UK, who are probably too busy shopping in Perseus in downtown Algonquin anyway. You can download both the original and the second game for free from the Rockstar website for PC; they've been altered to support the more recent of operating systems.

avatar I used to spend hours playing these, great classics indeed. They'll be a warm welcome to the Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network. The Xbox Live Arcade has been lacking any decent classic titles as of late.

avatar The beauty about the PC version of GTA I, is that you alter the prefernces file so that it looks like GTA II (ie. the first game with the flash overhail of the second). Don't think you can do that with XBox, as Massive have found with "WiC" ...
