During BlizzCon it was restated that Heart of the Swarm - StarCraft II's next chapter - is most likely going to miss a release in 2011 and instead land 2012.

A Q&A panel revealed very little on the Zerg-focused instalment, saying it could take place from 1 hour up to 100 years after Wings of Liberty's storyline.

Blizzard also teased that Brood War character Samir Duran may well show up at some point in StarCraft II given that he was involved in developing Zerg-Protoss hybrids, which are a central plot item to all that occurs in the RTS sequel.

There's no release date yet but 2012 seems more likely than next year. This isn't surprising given that Blizzard haven't nailed down StarCraft II's full story yet.
