Tony Hawk: Shred "a virtual no-show" with only 3000 sold in US

There'll be no victory Ollies for Tony Hawk: Shred in the Activision offices as it performed abysmally it's launch week in October with just 3000 sales.

Cowan and Company called it a "virtual no-show" with DJ Hero 2 not doing so hot either, scraping in just 59k US sales its first two weeks at retail.

There's quite the shake-up at Activision lately and Tony Hawk's developer Robomodo already announced they're off the series. Already PS2 Guitar Hero studio Budcat Creations is no more and Bizarre Creations is up in the air. The ground is really shaky, much like in the launch trailer for Shred below.

Tony Hawk: Shred released on Xbox 360 and PS3, and is accompanied by the skateboard peripheral which just hasn't managed to win over gamers very well at all.

The Tony Hawk game series has been killed by EA's skate. with no chance of a return, especially if they continue along this train of thought. Also, I didn't even know DJ Hero2 and Shred were due for release anytime soon, shows how effective their advertising campaigns have been.
