DOOM part of "id Software DNA", number 4 on its way but no details

Given the length of time DOOM 3 took to reach avid gamers it's almost shocking to hear anything about such a thing until 2015 or so. Some breaks in tradition are a good thing.

id Software has advertised for new job posts at the company too, from producer to designer. Get those demonic resumes ready...

"DOOM is part of the id Software DNA and demands the greatest talent and brightest minds in the industry to bring the next installment of our flagship franchise to Earth," said CEO Todd Hollenshead of id Software.

It's also stated at the moment that it'll reach Xbox360, PS3 and the PC. There are no specific details about the story, its setting or rooster of characters. The job listings themselves don't go into much either on what project, which is listed as unannounced, the new guys/gals would be working on.

"It's critical for id Software to have the best creative minds in-house to develop games that meet the standards synonymous with our titles."
