Microsoft's Xbox Live Marketplace is enjoying continued sales increases taking in $11.2m last month, which is up 91 percent from last year's October.

Research firm FADE also spills the beans on October's top ten sellers with Capcom’s Dead Rising: Case Zero the winner. July was its best ever month.

Yes in the heat of July this year Xbox Live cashed in $17.5m in sales. Thanks to Microsoft keeping a most keen eye on what indie and major studios are releasing on their service, they've managed to massage sales numbers higher than they've ever been.

Here's October's top 10:
Dead Rising 2: Case Zero (Capcom) - 104,000 Units (400 MS Points)
Sonic The Hedgehog 4: Episode 1 (Sega) - 98,000 Units (1200 MS Points)
Super Meat Boy (Team Meat) - 70,000 Units (800 MS Points)
Comic Jumper (Twisted Pixel) - 55,000 Units (1200 MS Points)
Plants vs. Zombies (PopCap) - 45,000 Units (1200 MS Points)
Limbo (Playdead) - 33,000 Units (1200 MS Points)

Trials HD (RedLynx) - 26,000 Units (1200 MS Points)
Dead Space Ignition (Sumo Digital) - 26,000 Units (400 MS Points)

Microsoft's Xbox Live year-to-date revenues have smashed the $100m milestone to little pieces, causing Xbox accountants to faint amid a haze of euphoria. Have you been contributing to the Xbox Live Marketplace coffers this year, videogamer?
