Atari have released a new gameplay trailer for Star Trek Online entitled "Space Exploration". The Star Trek universe will appear for the first time in a massively multiplayer online game. Sega has announced that a demo for Bayonetta will be released on the Xbox Live Marketplace and PlayStation Network in the US and Europe on 3rd December. Bayonetta is set for release in the US on 5th January and in Europe on 8th January for Xbox 360 and PS3. | |

Microsoft executive Tom Burt who owns a Tesla Roadster has been visited by Turn 10 and Microsoft Game Studios to record sounds from his electric sports car for a new game in the Project Gotham Racing franchise. "A team of sound engineers from Microsoft Game Studios (some working on Forza, some on Project Gotham Racing) asked if I was willing to take my Roadster to a track so they could record a variety of sounds," wrote Burt on a public Tesla Blog. | |

Developer Zipper Interactive have yielded to fan requests for more MAG beta, and so now it'll end sometime this week instead of Friday gone. In fact Jeremy Dunham of Zipper says the requests were "overwhelming" so they extended it "through the weekend" with it ending soon. | |

Gamefest will run on February 10th and 11th next year in Seattle, where Microsoft reveals they'll be showcasing Natal's tech to developers.
They'll discuss topics like gesture and speech "recognition," as well as "avatar retargeting" and "advanced raw" streaming. Press will be there. | |

Developer Infinity Ward has come to the defence of PC Modern Warfare 2 sales, saying its percentage is smaller because of the market size.
Percentages prove the console versions "sold great," but it's not indicative that PC "sold poorly," as that's totally "not the case." | |

Sony Online Entertainment announced today that over 3 million quests for Star Wars Galaxies have been created since the user-generated content feature was implemented just over a month ago. The Chronicle Master quest creation interface allows players to create their own missions, which can include characters and plot lines from the classic movie trilogy. One user has even created over 6000 missions, so it must be pretty user-friendly. | |

Xbox Live general manager Marc Whitten has dismissed the banning of "a million people" as just something a news source cooked up. Microsoft recently purged a load of modded Xbox 360's from Xbox Live to fight software piracy, and stop cheaters. But a million is wrong. | |

Director guy Uwe Boll, who is overly fascinated with videogame adaptations, is believed to be putting a Bloodrayne 3 film crew together.
Kristanna Loken is to return as the star heroine. There is no third Bloodrayne game so this movie is all Boll, if the report proves true. | |

According to a report from the LA Times, developer Infinity Ward spent between $40m and $50m on putting their blockbuster sequel together.
In fact that's believed to be less than they were given initially. Rockstar Games reportedly spent $100m on making Grand Theft Auto IV. | |
