Pirates vs. Ninjas Dodgeball for PS3, WiiWare too?

Strategy Informer has been talking with Chris Stockman, studio director of Blazing Lizard, about the upcoming Xbox Live Arcade release Pirates vs. Ninjas Dodgeball, which will be released on September 3rd for 800 MS points.

We asked Stockman about the possibility of Pirates vs. Ninjas Dodgeball appearing on the PlayStation Network, or any other format in the future. He confirmed that the company is now an official PlayStation 3 and Wii developer, although they aren't ready to confirm anything yet.

During the Interview we asked Stockman about the possibility of future PvN titles, such as Pirates vs. Ninjas Volleyball or Party Games, and Stockman revealed that the company is planning further titles in the PvN series, as it's something the team would like to see.

During a conference call Peter Moore, president of EA Sports, announced that the PC sports genre will be revitalised starting next year.

They cited "serious business challenges" as the cause for no offerings this year which drew heavy criticism from long time fans of the franchises.

Electronic Arts confirms demo for FaceBreaker on July 31st

Electronic Arts confirmed that it will be releasing a demo for FaceBreaker, which will be appearing on both the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Marketplace on July 31st, 2008.

The demo contains several features from the main game, such as a Practice mode to test your skills, and the highly talked about Game Face technology, which allows gamers to paste their own face on to of the available characters in the demo.

Microsoft announces a host of new features in autumn update

Following our string of live updates, we give you Microsoft’s announcement of a new interface coming this Autumn for all 360 users.

Dubbed the “new xbox live experience”, this new interface will be modelled along similar lines as the expected PS3 ‘Home’ system.

The new interface will include ‘Avatars’ (more realistic looking Mii’s), video and picture sharing, along with a load more community based options.

Microsoft talks to the world: PC gaming is looking up

In an open letter to the world, Microsoft’s Corporate Vice President of LIVE, Software and services John Schappert has told consumers that things are looking up for PC gaming.

He claimed that Microsoft had helped make the PC gaming platform the “largest gaming platform in the world.”
