Paradox Interactive today revealed the true identity of "Project Mayhem" at the Games Convention in Leipzig. The next Grand Strategy title to be released from the Paradox Interactive development team is the third instalment in the critically acclaimed Hearts of Iron series.

The Hearts of Iron series has become renowned for beingthe biggest, most detailed and complete strategic game series on World War 2 ever made. Hearts of Iron 3 will follow that tradition closely while focusing on satisfying veteran players through a multitude of brand new features and systems, including a huge map with more than 10,000 provinces.

The recent short announcement of a South Park XBLA game was revealed at E3, although no information was given on what kind of game it would be. But according to a Microsoft XBLA round up blog, the game is oddly enough going to be in the strategy genre.

We will likely find out more about the South Park game during the Leipzig Games Convention, but we have contacted Microsoft to see if we can find out anything beforehand.

According to a recent USK listing, Sony is set to publish a new military strategy game called Savage Moon, and that is all the information we have at the moment.

It could be a PlayStation Network title, or a full retail release, but either way it's likely that we will know more during the Leipzig games convention.

Paradox Interactive today announced a new release for early next year. The Fantasy Strategy game Elven Legacy is being developed by 1C company, and is scheduled to be released in Q1 2009.

EA has released details of the Red Alert 3 Premier Edition which apparently includes a key for a mystery beta.

According to reports, the game will provide players with access to an "Exclusive Beta Key to a future C&C game." What that game might be remains unconfirmed – the only other C&C universe game that has been announced is the FPS crossover, Tiberium, although that is not due for release until 2009.

Vertex 4 has revealed that it's working on a patch for Sunage, along with a demo for those people that are interested in buying but haven't had a chance to try out the game before they make a decision.
