Community Booster Competition Volume 2 UPDATED

We've prepared another competition for Strategy Informer members! Codemasters were kind enough to provide some cool prizes to pack it with. The prizes that we have are: Xbox 360 Faceplate, Statue, Keychain and a T-Shirt. They're all themed with the upcoming multi-platform RPG game, Rise of the Argonauts.

Strategy Informer has a Call of Duty 4 game server running with Before the Dawn mod installed on it. Those of you that have played this mod will know what it is about, and for those of you that haven't, well lucky you, you will get to experience it for the first time.

Ok it's time for a new competition! We've managed to get approval for 5 free games from GamersGate for this competition. Hence, the winner of this competition will get to pick any game from GamersGate of his/her choice. They got a lot of great up to date games over there so be sure to check them out.

Death Track: Resurrection Demo #2

505 Games have released another demo for Death Track to give players a taste of this extreme racer. The demo includes two cities – Bangkok and Paris – and three unique upgradeable cars to choose from.

We aren't sure what difference this demo has to the first demo that was released for Death Track, although we did contact 505 Games to find out but they were not sure either.

This new one is 100mb bigger, so it probably has extended content.

EA has announced its lineup for E3:

Electronic Arts today unveiled the games it will feature at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) at the Los Angeles Convention Center July 15 – 17. The games -- scheduled to ship on multiple platforms in 2008 and early 2009 – include riveting graphics, deep stories and online, socially connected experiences. EA’s portfolio covers many genres and platforms for core gamers and new players alike.

Microsoft talks to the world: PC gaming is looking up

In an open letter to the world, Microsoft’s Corporate Vice President of LIVE, Software and services John Schappert has told consumers that things are looking up for PC gaming.

He claimed that Microsoft had helped make the PC gaming platform the “largest gaming platform in the world.”
