Publisher Mastertronic has announced a new retail compilation for the Xbox 360, Worms: The Revolution Collection, which will feature the Xbox Live Arcade title Worms Revolution and all of its downloadable content. In addition, the game has Worms 2: Armageddon and all of its DLC as a bonus.

All this new-fangled hardware for the next generation consoles wouldn't typically be something a PC centric developer like Firaxis would care much for, but producer Dennis Shirk says they're paying attention.

It's what Microsoft and Sony are coming up with that goes into the machines, like Kinect and PS4's new controllers with 'Move built in'. They're becoming "much more attractive" to PC studios.

During the PAX East 2013 panel hosted by Firaxis, after the developer showed off the iOS version of XCOM: Enemy Unknown (which Firaxis claims will be 100% faithful to the PC version), a short audio clip followed "Hello, Commander", and began to warn of a new threat before getting cut off by static.

Larian would consider bringing their upcoming RPG Divinity: Original Sin to console, CEO Sven Vinke has commented, but that Dragon Commander wouldn't work anymore.

Speaking to Strategy Informer, Vinke mentioned that a console version of Original Sin was simply down to finance and development:

"Original Sin makes sense on console for me, I think, if you do it split screen. Couch co-op would be great... that's purely a financial aspect, we just need to develop it."

Kalypso Media announces Haemimont's Omerta - City of Gangsters is now partners in virtual crime with MMORPG Omerta, which is a free-to-play gangster-themed browser game.

Launched in 2003 with 4.7 million registered users, Omerta lets Mafioso fans create their own crime families. Omerta - City of Gangsters will contain a voucher code for the MMO.

Yesterday, Kalypso Media announced that their 1920's Atlantic City gangster strategy game Omerta: City of Gangsters would have a 12th February release date. The publisher has now revealed that the game has gone gold.

Team17 has announced a trio of DLC packs for the latest edition of their popular Worms franchise, Worms Ultimate Mayhem. If that weren't enough, the Single Player Pack is free on Steam, while the other two, the Multiplayer and Customisation Packs are a mere £1.99/$2.99/€2.99 each.

Kalypso Media announces that their "city-conquest/tactical RPG" with a Gangster theme, Omerta - City of Gangsters, will be fitting cement shoes this February 1st on Xbox 360 and PC.

There's a Mac version due early this year as well, from the Tropico 3 & 4 developer. Kalypso also boast "cross-platform multiplayer" for PC and Mac with "full support" for Steam.

Strategy Informer's Game of the Year, XCOM: Enemy Unknown, is now available on Xbox Live Marketplace as a Game on Demand. The game is priced at a full $59.99, and can either be downloaded from the Xbox 360 or from Xbox.com here.

Jake Solomon of Firaxis has revealed that they plan on being less 'content-heavy' and a little more 'system-heavy' with XCOM: Enemy Unknown's next dose of DLC; fans 'want more elements'.

Slingshot was the first premium DLC for XCOM, but it wasn't received very well because of its linear nature. The game is a "great platform for more things" in the future, like aliens, items and maps.

Firaxis has announced that the third downloadable content pack for XCOM: Enemy Unknown, called Second Wave Content, will be released today for free on Steam, Xbox Live Marketplace and PlayStation Network. The Second Wave Content DLC allows fans to replay the campaign after finishing it with new modifiers.

Rovio has announced that the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 version of Angry Birds Trilogy will be getting new downloadable content today, called the Anger Management Pack. The DLC costs 400 Microsoft Points ($4.99 USD).
