Bungie reveals Halo 3 expansion? Teaser Trailer inside

Bungie has released a short teaser trailer for what appears to be an expansion to Halo 3, as the trailer shows the Halo 3 logo after a scene that features city streets burnout out after a meteor impact.

Bungie says that this will be available on the Xbox Live Marketplace soon.

Valve May Consider PS3 Port of Left 4 Dead

In an interview with 1up.com Gabe Newell, co-founder of Valve Software, spoke about the possibilities of a port of Left 4 Dead to the PlayStation 3. While no port or even plans for any conversion were confirmed, Newell didn't shoot down the idea either which leaves room for speculation on a port of the title.

EA: Mirror's Edge Demo won't be released today

Digital Games reports that a demo for Mirror's Edge will be released today on the Xbox Live Marketplace and PlayStation Network, although EA has told Strategy Informer that this story is a result of confusion from a press release that was sent out earlier this month.

"I am afraid this news story is result of confusion in the press release issued earlier this month. The Pre-orders will go live as of tomorrow but the demo will be going live at a later date." said the EA Spokesperson.

Shame, we were hoping this was going to be true.

Banjo-Kazooie XBLA Video Leaked, Nintendo references removed from the game

A video of the upcoming Xbox Live Arcade remake of Banjo-Kazooie, which was announced for a November 26th release yesterday, has been leaked onto YouTube. The video is over nine minutes long and contains gameplay footage from the start of the game.

This we found amusing, CVG reports that all references to Nintendo have been removed from the game, N64 logo's, Rare's logo has been updated, and even the big Nintendo logo on Mumbo's xylophone has been replaced with Microsoft Game Studios. Though Banjo is still playing the original Gameboy in the start screen.

Bungie's website has a splash page which features a countdown clock, ticking away the minutes until a new game is announced for presumably the Halo universe. This important announcement is going to be revealed just after 3pm UK time.

Warhammer Online Not Influenced by EA Takeover

Mark Jacobs told MMORPG.com that Warhammer Online was never rushed or influenced by Electronic Arts. He was so firm on this point that he said, "In the end, we got to make the game that we wanted. Not that game that EA wanted, not the game that Blizzard wanted, it’s the game that we wanted."

Then switching to talking about the release date of the game he added, "(Electronic Arts) could have said to us in June, ‘no guys, you’ve gotta ship it, patch it afterwards.’ They didn’t. And I don’t mean that I threatened so they didn’t, they never said that."

Original Fallout Designer Added to Fallout MMO Team

The new official Interplay web site is listing a new office located in Orange County, CA where they will be producing the Fallout themed MMO. While Bethesda Softworks owns the rights to the Fallout franchise, Interplay retained the right to produce a Fallout MMO. Interplay has given this project the code name "V13" perhaps based on a Vault 13 concept.

Banjo-Kazooie remake appearing on XBLA November 26th

Microsoft announced today that Banjo-Kazooie, remake of the original Nintendo 64 game, is to be released on the Xbox Live Arcade on November 26th, 2008. The game will be priced at 1200 MS points and will contain graphical enhancements, along with achievements and gamerscore support.

For those of you that cannot wait until the 26th of November, Microsoft is planning to give consumers that pre-order the latest entry in the Banjo-Kazooie series, Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts, a free code to download the original title for free, two weeks before its release on the XBLA.

OG-Soft has released a playable demo for Pro Duck Hunting, giving you a chance to tryout the 3D hunting game for the PC. You can download the demo here.

In Pro Duck Hunting the player goes duck hunting with the virtual shotgun. Besides several weapons - among others with rifle scope - the game offers extra points for quick Combo fire. The performances of the player are traced and online available for everyone in the world. The realistic target system allows a virtual duck hunting within a fully animated 3D landscape. The gun dog accompanies the player and collects the prey.

The Punisher: No Mercy announced for PlayStation Network

ZEN Studios announced today that it has secured licensing rights for the Punisher from Marvel Entertainment. The studio is currently developing The Punisher: No Mercy, an arena-based first-person shooter created exclusively for the PlayStation Network.

Powered by Unreal Engine 3, No Mercy was designed with fast-paced online multiplayer FPS action in mind. With inspiration rooted in the Punisher’s rich comic book history, the game allows players to choose from an eclectic mix of Punisher allies and villains. Battle arenas span from shipyards rife with contraband to the “birthplace” of the Punisher’s archenemy, Jigsaw, and up to eight players can blast away at each other in a variety of solo and team-based missions.

LucasArts announced this morning that The Force Unleashed, its latest Star Wars game for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, has sold more than 1.5 million copies worldwide in its first five days of being released.

"The record-setting sales of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed shows the undiminished power of Star Wars and its popularity across all media types, including videogames,"
said Darrell Rodriguez, president of LucasArts. "We're blown away by the response to the game."
