God of War and Twisted Metal creator David Jaffe has updated his blog and revealed a date sometime in 2010 is likely but it could come "sooner."

Hopefully he'll start the marketing magic for it soon, whatever it is, and get to spilling the beans. Until then he's just some "guy with a big mouth and a blog" by his own account.

SCEA's John Koller has confirmed that they are in fact working on more PSone titles to be brought into the PS Store in a wave of retro goodness.

Already there are many of the timely classics available over PSN but only in Japan, very few have made it to North American or European shores in comparison. Sort it Koller!

No more Trophy patches for the latest PS3 releases as developers must have them up for grabs when the games ship. PS3 fans will be delighted I'm sure.

No more replaying games to earn trophies because support came two months after release, now you'll be neck deep in a feverish arms race of trophies from the get-go.

GTA IV DLC has "new multiplayer modes, weapons and vehicles"

A little more light has been shed on the upcoming DLC episode 'The Lost and Damned' arriving on February 17th for Xbox 360.

It'll also feature "a diverse soundtrack with additional music" to the same "incredible production values" as the full game. Some of the first screens have aired too.

The days of PS2 dominance have come to an end as Square Enix's John Yamamoto explains going "multiformat" is the only way to maximise exposure now.

Concentrating on one console no longer delivers the impact it once did, even in Japan which has always been heavily biased to Sony's PlayStation. The winds of change blow.

Codemasters have released new video footage for Rise of the Argonauts, entitled 'Honour the Gods', along with 11 new screenshots.

Rise of the Argonauts immerses players in a gladiatorial adventure set in a wondrously imagined vision of ancient Greece. Italy, you know that place that gave us Romans and pasta? Well they've discovered a teenagers "severe brain disorder" was actually PlayStation withdrawal. Phew.

Young Lorenzo was admitted to Hospital where he couldn't speak or understand his surroundings, and doctors figured out his grey matter had extra vitamin 'Sony'.

A reply from the Community Manager for Fallout 3 on the official forums has confirmed that Bethesda will soon release patches for every version of Fallout 3, which was revealed in a reply to fans that asked about a possible fix for the PS3 version.

PEGI rolling ahead with 'traffic light' age rating system in Europe

In a move to simplify the age rating system for the videogames industry in Europe, PEGI are to proceed with ditching their black & white funny pictures for colours.

In the UK however no decision has been made yet as the industry is awaiting the end of the "consultation period" with the Government, reveals ELSPA's Michael Rawlinson.

Halo 3 runs faster off DVD than HDD because of "utility partition"

Bungie has posted their explanation for why Halo 3 loads slower once installed to the hard drive of a 360 through NXE. It's the games way of caching maps basically.

The game doesn't know it's already on the HDD so it re-copies the map data to the "utility partition" to cache the data; all this reading/writing ties up the HDD slowing it.

World Tour lags 50% behind Guitar Hero III sales, pulls in $67.3 mil

Despite selling a healthy 534,000 copies of the latest Guitar Hero game over four consoles, it still pales when compared to its predecessors 1.39 million.

Activision will be happy at least that World Tour managed to best Rock Band's 238,000 units shifted. Still the game has failed to achieve a place in October's top ten.

Epic is fixing "longer-than-ideal" matchmaking for Gears of War 2

Gamers have been complaining of having to wait rather long times to get in on the multiplayer action through Gears of War 2's public matchmaking.

Epic Games have acknowledged the issue and are working on "some solutions" to sort the mess out but add it's a "complicated issue" as there isn't any one cause.

Ubisoft confirmed today that it will release Downloadable Content for its upcoming Prince of Persia video game post-launch. Full details and release date are to be announced in the near future.

"Our intention is to do downloadable content that really offers a lot of value for the player - another experience."
said Ben Mattes, Producer.

Prince of Persia is scheduled to release on December 5, 2008 for the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.

Blizzard Entertainment announced today that World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King has sold well over 2.8 million units in its first 24 hours of being available at retail stores, giving it the world record of being the fastest selling PC game of all time.

This eclipses the previous record of nearly 2.4 million copies sold in 24 hours, set in January 2007 by Blizzard’s first World of Warcraft expansion, The Burning Crusade.

Qore subscribers get Home beta invites, v1.0 now live on servers

Dun dun dun, it's finally happened. Sony's Home has managed to scrape and claw its way to the big number: 1.0. It's now running live on test servers.

The beta testers are "expected to help shape" Home through feedback and generally moaning or brown-nosing about features that catch their attention. Open beta almost here.

THQ and Activision friends once more, Baja box art suit is dropped

Activision has conceded that the cover art for their 'SCORE International Baja 1000: The Official Game' was indeed rather similar to THQ's own Baja game box art.

The publisher has decided to withdraw the design and plaster a new one in its place, THQ is happy enough with Activision's course of action they've dropped the lawsuit. Bless.

Sony claim "licensing matters" behind Netflix 360 movie blockage

A Sony Pictures representative has said it's down to getting the licensing all sorted out and "not specific to Xbox", though timing would suggest otherwise.

They say talks are underway with "relevant parties" to address the problems "related to the distribution of its motion pictures." It's ongoing so that's all they'll say on the matter.
