Blizzard extend StarCraft II beta by one week, now ends June 7th

A stay of execution has been given to the StarCraft II beta which was due to cease yesterday, but will now instead close down next week.

Once it closes it'll be offline for "several weeks" say Blizzard, as they set about to make "configuration changes" for the final phase of beta.

The firmware update 3.30 for the PlayStation 3 only added support for 3D gaming, not full 3D blu-ray movies. That will change this year say Sony.

They don't have a more solid date in mind yet as they just claim it'll be 'by the end of the year' when it releases. Blu-ray 3D movies are out in summer.

Yes it's yet another rumour for the pile. EA have been spotted with their dirty mitts all over 'medieval' domain names with 'Sims' all cosied up.

Having previously said they "would consider it," regarding some form of co-op for Dragon Age or Mass Effect in the future, it looks to be a step closer.

A recent job posting for BioWare Montreal was looking for a 'Multiplayer Programmer' with the Mass Effect franchise attached, with co-op lingo?

From what whispers magazine PSM3 have heard, the latest Devil May Cry that's being handled by Ninja Theory isn't out for two more years.

At least it isn't on Capcom's two-year schedule anyway, but that doesn't "rule out a surprise" reveal at E3 2010 they say. Ninja won't confirm DMC5.

Tameem Antoniades, Chief Designer of fantasy action-adventure title Enslaved believes Naughty Dog's Uncharted 2: Among Theives is the best thing ever.

"I think Uncharted 2 set the template for what an action-adventure game should be," he said in an exclusive interview with Strategy Informer's Nick Akerman.

Publisher Ubisoft has surprised us all with a quick mention of the next Driver game getting some spotlight treatment at this year's E3 in a release.

Rumoured for years they've just come out and said it'll be there, after total silence. They talk it up as a "blockbuster franchise", despite waning fandom.

Scott Bayless, formerly the Microsoft studio manager, has revealed how he asked when they'll be integrating the Natal tech into the Xbox 360.

They said they'd 'wait and see' to which Bayless replied: "Then you're going to fail." The lack of integration will split the install base - it's off putting.

Rockstar Games' Red Dead Redemption cleared GBP 10m it's opening weekend in the UK, with stock shortages being replenished asap.

It was "flying out of the stores," says Neil Ashurst of retailer GAME. Rockstar confirms there will "definitely be more" DLC packs coming out too.

Series director Katsuhiro Harada has said how Tekken 7 is currently in the pre-production stage, whilst at an event in Madrid; nothing else revealed.

The last instalment hit Xbox 360, PS3 and PSP in fall last year. Most likely the next Tekken will touch the arcades first before the game consoles.

According to sources close to camp Microsoft, their precious controller-free motion platform will be formally named as 'Wave' when they unveil this E3.

Project Natal is simply the project's name and so will be dropped. Recently an October 26th retail date emerged, with a $149 price tag for the camera.
