The trouble with the third dimension is all that extra juice you need, and WipEout HD and MotorStorm: Pacific Rift won't be as visually sharp.

This June the 3D goodness for PS3 begins. WipEout HD goes from 1080p to "two 720p images" says SCEE's Simon Benson. Not so HD.

Super producer Jerry Bruckheimer has said that the Prince of Persia movie "can't count on" gamers to fill those cinema seats, you must broaden.

People playing the game "might not be" by the time of the movie. Make a film that's entertaining with deep characters and then "everybody comes."

Halo: Reach live-action short this week, called 'Birth of a Spartan'

The marketing machine for Halo: Reach is switching to higher gears as Smart People director Noam Murro has helmed a live-action teaser.

'Birth of a Spartan' will premiere tomorrow on both US and UK television, for 60 seconds. A 2 minute thirty seconds version will hit Xbox Live.

Street Fighter IV producer Yoshinori Ono really wants a Darkstalkers sequel, and that's why he tries to whip the fans into a frenzy when he can.

He wants to prove to Capcom "there is a demand" for more Darkstalkers, the horror-brawling series, often rumoured to be coming back.

Microsoft is giddy over the prospect of more Halo 3: ODST sales, thanks to the Halo: Reach multiplayer beta accessible only through ODST keys.

Yep they thought it out real well. Demand for ODST "will be reinvigorated" for the May 3rd launch of the beta, and "a ton" are yet to play ODST.

The E3 2009 demo of Microsoft's Project Natal had the game Ricochet, the one with all those propelling balls, and now it's back for more PR.

Now it has Avatars in place of 'you' on the screen and Microsoft have released some shots of people playing it through Natal. Hides the camera?

Gaming veteran Lorne Lanning has revealed that a new Oddworld is no longer the priority at his studio, saying it's "still on the shelf" as they move on.

They want to "really aggressively experiment" right now but not with Oddworld's IP. They'll spare it the ordeal of the games industry "shakeup".

Sony let some Londoners have a go at the new PlayStation Move controllers, with the piece from Stuff.tv lauding how impressive its accuracy is.

They took some pics too while they played SOCOM 4, Table Tennis, EyePet and Move Party. The pads need "minimal setup", just button presses.

Those of you who have been following Disney's Split/Second: Velocity will be pleased to know that an exclusive 360 demo will be hitting Xbox Live this week. Unless you don't own one of course, then you'll just be annoyed.

The reveal was made on the latest Major Nelson podcast, and will include the airport level.

United Front Games' ModNation Racers, which is like LBP on wheels, is out in the UK and Europe on May 21st, ahead of our American cousins.

Sony confirms the EU date, with the US getting it May 25th on the PlayStation 3. The PSP version remains without a confirmed retail date.

R.U.S.E postponed till September

It seems that Ubisoft got so much feedback from the recent public beta of their WW2 RTS R.U.S.E., that they've decided to postpone the game's release until September.

"Following the massive feedback we got from the community during the Public Beta, we have decided to postpone the release of the final game to September 2010," a RUSE team member said over Facebook.

Ubi's Pure Football out May 28th, PC Prince of Persia date June 4th

The first ever football sport title from Ubisoft, Pure Football, will be out this May 28th. It favours 'down the park' matches over the stadiums.

Stars battle five-aside with rules made up along the way, on themed pitches. Prince of Persia for PC arrives two weeks after consoles.

Keiji Inafune has been promoted as global boss of all Capcom's R&D efforts - wants to end the 'only true Capcom games are from Japan' feeling.

It's a "common comment" he hears about games made in Europe. Inafune-san will oversee all titles to make sure it has the "Capcom flavour".
