The scale and the team size needed for a StarCraft 2 MMO puts a chill down Frank Pearce's spine he confesses after WoW's "very long and arduous journey."

Pearce jokes that in comparison to a MMO project it makes "an RTS like StarCraft 2 seem very achievable". WoW has made MMO bar entry "very high".

American McGee: Silicon Knights' UE3 expectations "ludicrous"

Too Human developer Silicon Knights has launched a law suit against Epic over it's licensed Unreal Engine 3, which they planned to use as many others have.

American McGee has defended Epic, saying that to expect a "fresh out of the box" engine to require little work to "achieve development goals on a new title is ludicrous."

Diablo III's campfire only warm for Barbarian class, oldies trashed

The Barbarian is the only Diablo/Diablo II class to make their way to Diablo III with the others ditched. The Necromancer for example was "a victim of his own success."

Blizzard isn't ruling out a return of the classes at some point but they won't be included in the retail release. Fans will likely be incensed at this revelation.

Moore: Suing illegal file-sharers "didn't work for the music industry"

EA Sport's Peter Moore has come out criticizing the move by other publishers like Atari and Codemasters for launching lawsuits saying there are "better ways".

He's says EA is determined to minimise piracy but there are better alternatives "than chasing people for money." DRM is beginning to play a larger role for EA titles.

Fable 2 Pub Games exploit patched, so no more gambling trickery

Lionhead Studios have patched their XBLA Fable 2 Pub Games, which lets gamers transfer their winnings over to the full retail game when it releases.

The exploit would allow Fable gamblers to dupe a game into thinking you've bet high when you're only risking some loose change. Finally the 'house' is the only cheater again.

Apparently a poster at the GC in Leipzig has revealed, at least in German, that Bully's Jimmy Hopkins will be making his way to PC's Bullworth Academy.

While Rockstar Games is busy showcasing GTA IV for PC due out this November, we hope they spare sometime to elaborate on the 15 year olds trip to the keyboard.

Konami have announced a new game from Mercury Steam, the team behind Clive Barker's Jericho. Set in the Middle Ages it swirls around "murder and betrayal."

It's coming to Xbox 360 and PS3 sometime in 2010 so there's a little way to go yet. It'll feature a "Combat Cross," a multi-functional weapon thingy.

Speaking at the GC in Leipzig, SCEE's David Reeves has announced that the new SKU will be available in Europe from October and will retail around 449 Euros.

That's 50 more than their current 80GB models on sale. The new larger sized PS3 will be missing expandable hard drive support, presumably they see 160 as enough.

Todd Hollenshead, id Software's CEO, has said he believes the levels of illegal file sharing is actually a joy for the PC hardware big boys.

He notes that a culture of "trading content, copyrighted or not" is the norm in PC land, something that the manufacturers have done little to curtail, if anything.

This new PSN title has gamers defend a tower with hordes of "gigantic, ravenous space bugs" trying to undo your good work.

The game is described as "classic tower strategy gameplay", except it's not classic because it's in space, on a moon - with bugs. Starship Trooper fans should apply.

It's no secret that Pro Street was an abomination to the ethos of the series - you just can't have *legal* Need for Speeding. So EA bring back the boys in blue.

High speed pursuits, the magic hour, open-world of the Tri-City Bay area, live-action antics and highway battles are on their way. Undercover is due this year.

The Games Company announced today that it'll be continuing the famous adventure series featuring Simon, the charismatic sorcerer´s apprentice. Under the working title Simon the Sorcerer 5 TGC´s in-house development unit is currently working at the fifth sequel of the series.

The first 'Horizons' report from the PCGA has shown that the PC gaming platform was worth over ten billion dollars during 2007, in which retail sales equated to only 30%.

Our gamer brethren in Asia are the major driving force through online revenues. PCGA president Randy Stude claims PC is "far stronger than anyone has reported."

2K's BioShock arrives on PS3 October 21st, "new Add-On" content

The critically acclaimed shooter is almost finally in the hands of PS3 gamers. This BioShock will feature all the DLC already available but also 'challenge rooms'.

This port was no small operation with 2K Marin, 2K Boston, 2K Australia and outsider Digital Extremes all pulling the strings. BioShock 2 is expected fall next year.

The Banjo Kazooie duo's latest platforming escapades are nearly here with Nuts & Bolts hitting US stores November 14th, and should retail around 39.99 USD.

Gamekyo have managed to get a cheeky sneak-peek of Sony's press conference rehearsal and aren't above gossiping around the Internet water cooler.

They report a new trailer for Heavy Rain and LittleBigPlanet with producer Pete Smith giving a walkthrough for LBP. A new SingStar plays a big role too in the proceedings.

Cevat Yerli, Crytek's bossman, has revealed much loved Crysis cost piles of dosh but "if it wasn't profitable I wouldn't be able to stand here."

He talks up CryEngine 2's "extremely challenging but successful" goal of blending interactivity and photorealism. Not likely to be seen in public until 2012.

Co-founder of Flagship Studios Bill Roper discusses the sorry end to Hellgate's home and that being ex-Blizzard doesn't mean that "we're all millionaires".

Other than pulling a jack-of-all-trades in Hellgate he claims the PC market was "lousy last year," adding to the misfortune of the demon infested London.

Konami announced during a Leipzig Games Convention Press Conference today that it's developing a new game called Lords of Shadow, and is currently set for release on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Mercury Steam are behind the game, which is scheduled for a 2010 release.

No other details were revealed, but expect more on this soon.
