EA's Frank Gibeau has revealed that the publisher is in deep thought on whether the upcoming Star Wars MMO could make it to consoles.

Warhammer Online is also getting the think tank treatment but SWTOR would prove perhaps more difficult as it is a "BioWare-Lucas-built product", EA is just a partner.

The remake of the 1994 classic fighting game will be dropkicking its way onto Xbox 360 and PS3 soon enough teases Capcom.

The game is being brought up to 1080p standards with redrawn graphics as well as some balancing tweaks here and there. Don't forget a remixed soundtrack too - all "very soon".

According to Mythic's Mark Jacobs Blizzard has altered its PVP formula to better challenge Warhammer Online, as he remarks "imitation is the sincerest form of flattery."

Jacobs believes it wasn't "accidental" that Blizzard starting talking about it when Warhammer was releasing - "well, I'm flattered." Spot on or total hogwash?

Microsoft announced today that Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts will be released across Europe on November 14th.

Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts embraces new and old fans alike, as the famous bear and bird duo return in stunning high definition for a unique adventure of epic proportions. The Lord of the Games (aka LOG) is tired of the petty squabbling between Banjo and the evil witch Gruntilda (aka Grunty) over the years, and has arranged a showdown to decide the rightful owner of Spiral Mountain. Mark Jacobs, bossman at Mythic, has said his respect for the pedigree RPG developer "runs VERY deep." He says we must have more successful titles.

More success means our industry gets bigger, he doesn't care what genre that 'success' lies in. Jacobs admits he's looking forward to what the BioWare team delivers.

Molyneux: Oblivion "twenty thousand pages long", unlikely to finish

Lionhead boss Molyneux has said that Oblivion was so vast in giving gamers around 60-70 hours of gameplay it almost becomes a 'book' you can't finish.

He says the game was a "fantastic achievement" but for him it's just too long a story length as a designer. Oblivion was "about me killing things," Fable empowers consequence.

Bioware Listening to Community on DRM Issues

Bioware designer Brent Knowles told Videogamer.com that the DRM options for the online role-playing game Dragon Age: Origins will be given considerable thought. Bioware changed its DRM strategy for Mass Effect following user complaints about how frequently the software re-authenticated to DRM servers.

Knowles acknowledge that listening to the community would be part of their considerations. "Obviously DRM is an issue that everybody is very well aware of. We haven't announced any plans but we're definitely paying attention to what the community is saying and keeping that to help guide that in the future," added Knowles.

Star Wars: The Old Republic art director, Jeff Dobson, revealed that the newly announced MMO will be designed to run on mid-range PCs.

"It'll be available on a broad range of computers," said Dobson.

BioWare has announced Star Wars: The Old Republic, which is being published by LucasArts and will be a story-driven MMO for the PC.

No release date has been revealed, but we expect it to launch sometime in late 2009. It's set a few thousand years before Darth Vader's reign when the republic and Sith were at war, which is a few hundred years before Knight of the Old Republic's setting.

Xbox Live Primetime Delayed Until Spring

Forbes is reporting that the Xbox Live Primetime project is being delayed until Spring 2009. Live Primetime was announced at E3 08 as part of the Xbox refresh which includes the upcoming Xbox Experience, the upgraded dashboard including customizable avatars which will be released on November 19th.

Live Primetime is a groundbreaking concept which described virtual game shows at regularly scheduled times that allowed Xbox Live users to compete against each other for real world prizes.

In the latest issue of the Official PlayStation Magazine they reveal that Sony could very well be giving serious thought on how best to reward Trophy collectors.

Most likely it would be in the form of exclusive goodies like wallpapers and such but Sony might want to try something bolder like early beta or demo access. No word from Sony.

That whole period around the early 40's won't be revisited again if senior producer Noah Heller from Treyarch is to be believed, reports OXM.

World at War was already set when Modern Warfare was hitting shelves but the Treyarch team wanted to "show the end of the war." Heller adds they're happy to put WWII "to bed."

Microsoft found to have patented real-time swear filter back in '04

A patent record has been found that shows Microsoft were full steam ahead looking into developing an audio filter system to cut the swears out.

It would be designed to make the naughty words "unintelligible or inaudible" and the best bit is it would work all by itself. Obviously this tech is taking its sweet fu**ing time.

Providing you can kidnap the "right writers and directors" for the project, Spider-man director Sam Raimi reckons a WoW flick would be awesome.

It's all those "fantastic landscapes and rules" which would lead to brilliance apparently, of course they'd have to cameo some gold farmers and the clueless newb.

Epic Games' Mark Rein has revealed that there's more UT3 goodness still to come and that Midway is still the publisher, despite their financial hiccups.

Rein says that they're "working together on a major expansion" for UT3, he also commented that The Wheelman was safe with Midway too. NBA Ballers on the other hand...

Console versions of Sacred 2 delayed

Deep Silver today announced the release date for the console versions of Sacred 2 - Fallen Angel. Sacred 2 is currently in development for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, and will be released in the first quarter of 2009.

"We have committed ourselves to offering gamers nothing but top quality. In order to be able to further optimize the online components of the console versions, and ensure a simultaneous release world-wide, we have chosen to aim for this release date for the console versions,"
