GC 2008: Konami reveals Lords of Shadow for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3

Konami announced during a Leipzig Games Convention Press Conference today that it's developing a new game called Lords of Shadow, and is currently set for release on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Mercury Steam are behind the game, which is scheduled for a 2010 release.

EA announced today that The Sims 3 will be released globally on February 20th, 2009 for PC.
This information was announced at the Leipzig Game Convention during an EA press conference this morning. EA also revealed a Collector's Edition that will be available in retail stores on the same date, and will include the full game along with Sims merchandise and an in-game Italian sports car as an exclusive item.

Paradox Interactive today revealed the true identity of "Project Mayhem" at the Games Convention in Leipzig. The next Grand Strategy title to be released from the Paradox Interactive development team is the third instalment in the critically acclaimed Hearts of Iron series.

Remedy's CFO Mika Reini has posted a small apology and quick affirmation that Alan Wake, their psychological thriller, is still alive and chugging along.

Online retailer Amazon, probably the bane of many a development studio for blowing secrets, has listed 'Company of Heroes: Tales of Valor' for March 1st, 2009.
The price is 29.99 USD which was the same as the sales tag for the Opposing Fronts expansion. There's no other info on the site and nothing from THQ yet.

Acclaim's David Perry, no stranger to games development, has said that EA's unveiling of a free-to-play Battlefield Heroes one of the "biggest statements" they've ever made.
