Rejoice Commander Shepards of good ship Xbox 360, because BioWare has just patched your galaxy. No more unpickupable flashing ammo!

Also expect your mineral scans to be "optimized" and Grunt's Fortification power now working properly. A patch for PC is being worked on.

It does look likely that Fable III will be developed for the PC.

EA reveal Mass Effect 2's next DLC piece, no new crew in Overlord

BioWare have been working on Overlord for Mass Effect 2, which adds a new story on a single planet spanning 5 levels - tackling an enemy AI.

This is premium DLC, much like the last release was, so it'll cost you. No new squad mates are added, or will be ever again in future content.

John McCormack, lead artist at Lionhead Studios, has said how Fable's lack of animal diversity in its past has always bothered him a bit.

Things may change as they've "gone a little way" in improving the animal populace, but it's hard convincing AI/animation teams to work a badger.

Silverlode Interactive has revealed Captains of DarkTide, a free-to-play browser-based 3D MMORPG, which has been in development for over a year. The game will take place in the SAGA fantasy universe complete with elven longboats, flying fortresses and mythical beasts.

Beta signups begin today at, where players who register will be among the first to preview Silverlode's new fantasy world. The CoDT facebook page will also give players waiting for the Beta a chance to influence the game design by participating in polls and giving feedback on proposed features.

Lionhead Studios' Fable III has another great thespian added to its voice over ranks as actor Sir Ben Kingsley is crowned King of Mist Peak.

Not only is he King but a wizard as well - almost like the man really. Videogame roles "very energising and good" for actors, thanks to diversity.

Surprise! You didn't think BioWare and EA were done with DLC for Dragon Age: Origins just yet did you? Darkspawn Chronicles out this May 18th.

Very little is known about this latest bundle of extra goodness, except that it "extends the life" of the original Dragon Age, not the expansion pack.

Publisher Sega has allayed fears for PC gamers looking forward to Obsidian's action-RPG Alpha Protocol. Its DRM is no orbital big brother.

The 'Uniloc: SoftAnchor' DRM is activated once online with limited installs for different PCs, and it gives users "full control over their license".

Feargus Urquhart, CEO of Obsidian Entertainment, has said that their Aliens RPG game for publisher Sega was on the cusp of being finished.

That's "how close" the team was to wrapping things up before Sega pulled the plug, it "looked and felt" ready for retail. It had robot sentries!

Ankama Games, developer of MMO Dofus, have unveiled a Diablo-inspired dungeon crawler that takes a cartoony visual spin in 3D.

It's online-only for the dungeon randomiser, complete with over-the-top gore and 12 character classes. It supports teams of fours.

For those who've been clamouring for some Demon's Souls in Europe, fear ye not because Namco Bandai has officially dated its release.

June 25th will see the Black Phantom Edition hit retailers but there'll be limited stock. The RPG is only sold in Japan and North America.

BioWare's DLC codes have "no expiry date" despite leaflet claims

EA and BioWare have said that codes for Dragon Age: Origins and Mass Effect 2 DLC do not expire, contrary to the small print of leaflets.

April 30th was a date included in Dragon Age boxes, saying the DLC can't be redeemed from that point on. It's all a load of misinformation.

Monkey Island man Ron Gilbert, the living legend himself, has now left Hothead Games after two years what with DeathSpank winding down.

This action-RPG with traces of adventure, will be retailing sometime this year with trademark Gilbert laughs. It's "neck-in-neck" for a Nobel.

RPGs Fable II from Lionhead Studios and Fallout 3 from Bethesda have now joined Xbox Live's Games on Demand service, shunning the disc.

Fable II is the larger of the two, coming in at 7GB. Both of the gems are up for GBP 20. Don't forget you can install to those USB sticks now!

You want what?! Shepard's starship don't mass accelerate that way, buddy. BioWare says Mass Effect is like a PG-13 movie, so no 'funny stuff'.

The love interests are "part of the story" but the dev team still view it like any other "PG-13 action movie," and that's why they're "relatively light."
