MotorStorm 2 will get its demo before launch say Evolution Studios

Paul Hollywood, creative director at Evolution, has said at Sony's PlayStation Day event that a demo for upcoming MotorStorm Pacific Rift is planned.

He also said the game will "be locked at 30 frames-per-second in 720p", something the pre-alpha demo version lacked at the event.

The cartoon-ish boxing game, which lets gamers 'break' the face of their opponent, is the first game from under the new Freestyle brand.

The new EA Sports brand label is to address the "growing, more casual sports gaming audience." FaceBreaker to be breaking faces in the ring this September.

The downloadable episodes will be twelve in total and presented in a "TV-style" starting this summer, it's based in the Japanese village of Hanuda.

Sony are keen to believe this episode approach can keep the players on the edge of their seats and desperate for more of the Blood Curse mystery.

Sony Computer Entertainment America announced last night that PixelJunk Monsters Encore will be released on the US PlayStation Store this Thursday, the 8th May, 2008.

The expansion pack will cost around $5.99 to download and features a secret landmass located between Tiki & Toki Islands.

Sony Computer Entertainment Europe President David Reeves announced today that PlayTV for the PlayStation 3 will be released in September 2008, priced at 99 Euros which is £77 for us brits.

If you haven't heard about the PlayTV, it's a device that will allow your PlayStation 3 to become a freeview receiver and recorder, allowing you to watch and record any of those TV programs that you may miss.

Sony Computer Entertainment Europe boss David Reeves has revealed that the PlayStation 3 version of SingStar as sold over 220,000 units since its launch.

Reeves also claims that each user of SingStar for the PS3 downloads on average over 6 tracks, with total sales for the SingStore reaching around one million units.

Sony Computer Entertainment Europe boss David Reeves has announced that a Metal Gear Solid 4 PlayStation 3 bundle will be made available for purchase in European stores from June 12th 2008.

The bundle will include a copy of Metal Gear solid 4, along with a wireless controller and a 40GB PS3. No price point has been revealed yet, but we expect that to be announced at a later date. It'll most likely cost as much as the GTA IV bundle, which was £319.99.

Sony Computer Entertainment Europe boss David Reeves announced at the PlayStation Day that Killzone 2 will be released for the PlayStation 3 in February 2009.

Pushing it back somewhat from its original date of September 2008, the title will skip the Christmas holiday season to be released early next year.

Sony Computer Entertainment Europe boss David Reeves has announced that over 5 million PlayStation 3's have been sold across Europe since launch, along with 48 million PlayStation 2s and 12 million PSPs.

Reeves has also mentioned that the PlayStation 3 has been vastly outselling its main competitor (Xbox 360) in Europe since October.

The first details from the PlayStation Gamers day in London are starting to come through, with Sony Computer Entertainment President Kaz Hirai confirming that LittleBigPlanet will be released on the PlayStation 3 this October 2008.

It was previously confirmed for September 2008, which means it'll see a months delay.

Sony has revealed a list of all the games that will be showcased at its PlayStation Gamers Day which is currently taking place in London.

Games such as Mirror's Edge, Killzone 2, LittleBigPlanet and Resistance 2 are on show, whilst the list also includes Motorstorm 2 which now appears to be called MotorStorm Pacific Rift.

PC version of Mass Effect requires Internet connection for copy protection procedure

The PC version of Mass Effect is going to require an Internet connection to play as the game comes with a copy protection/activation procedure that requires the Internet to go online and activate your copy.

Gamers will be able to play Mass Effect for 10 days, but the game won't start up after this period until the software is able to go online and register your copy.

MotorStorm 2 features 16 race tracks and is happy at Sony's Home

Game director Nigel Kershaw has confirmed the racer will have twice the number of tracks than the original and they'll be "more interactive" too.

He's also chuffed that MotorStorm 2 is going to have a real "strong presence" on Home, and he says it'll "start binding the PS3 online community together."

Yes Grand Theft Auto IV is still in the news and it plans on staying a little longer it seems. Rockstar have launched a suit against the CTA for pulling game ads.

They claim that not only did they broke a contractual agreement worth $300,000 but also violated "its free speech". GTA vs. CTA.

Graeme Devine, a Game Designer of Ensemble Studios, has said he would love for a map editor to be included in the final product of the upcoming Halo Wars.

The game is set exclusively for Xbox360 and trades in first-person shooter for real-time strategy, its due for later this year.
