It hit the news a while back that SEGA was closing down their UK based Racing Studio, but now rumour has it that Codemasters may well have entered into a deal.

Reports from within the studio suggest that SEGA was looking for a possible buyer and that Codemasters is a prime runner.

Recently snooping enthusiasts uncovered the trademarking of 'Prodigy' for the Ubisoft platforming franchise.

Now according to the Ubisoft forum community a mysterious website has emerged which users were taken to after visiting the suspected official sites address.

The software giant has come clean about boosting their development force which is working with Peter Jackson and Bungie on "that project."

Bungie still maintain community relations and release content for Halo however their own latest project is not set within the Halo universe.

This is a new fast-paced breed of property tycoon, the new family mode will feature loads of mini-games - the original might be in there somewhere too.

Capcom say that DMC4 will be demon-slaying onto the PC this summer, with a demo planned to be released before the retail date.

It'll not only take advantage of the superior processing power of the PC but will feature two new modes of play; Turbo Mode and Legendary Dark Knight Mode.

Microsoft today announced the release date for Ninja Gaiden II, in development by Team Ninja and exclusive to the Xbox 360. It'll be available across Europe from 6th June for an estimated retail price of £44.99.

Sony announce the rumoured Grand Theft Auto IV PS3 bundle pack

Yes they've made it official; Sony will be letting Rockstar's GTAIV loose on the streets in an official console bundle pack.

The PS3 unit will come with a 40GB hard drive, a SIXAXIS wireless controller and of course the game. This bundle will be available in the UK on April 29th for £319.99 (RRP).

The time has come for Funcom to bare all beneath the loincoth, metaphorically speaking. The game will cost around $59.99 and €49.99 in their respective unwashed tribal lands.

It looks like Interplay was super serious when they planned to arise from the dead and raise their unholy brethren of gaming properties.

They've partnered up with Doug TenNapel, the franchise creator of Earthworm Jim to work on his comeback. Earthworm Jim 4 really is on its way.

The publisher is quick to discredit the rumour of Infinity Ward looking to hold sole development rights to the franchise.

They're adament that both Infinity Ward and Treyarch will be onboard. The rumours spread from an ex-Activision employee of Underground Development which is scheduled to close.

When first announced it looked the part to not only rival but seriously challenge the defending champion at the time; Bethesda's Oblivion. Critics disagreed.

The developer admits that trying to incorporate so many ideas they had was a pit fall mistake and parts became "underdeveloped."

Recently Jordan Mechner, creator of the platforming Prince, filed trademarks for the Prodigy name. The document also applies only to "game software and electronic game programs."

Ubisoft Montreal handles the Prince of Persia games and the publisher has been very quiet about its details, including what platforms he'll be platforming.

KOEI announces Three Kingdom XI and Samurai Warriors 2 for PC

KOEI today announced the release of Romance of the Three Kingdom XI and Samurai Warriors 2 on the PC, following on from the release of Warriors Orochi on the PC earlier this year. KOEI hopes to continue bolstering its PC line up with the release of Three Kingdom XI, out on July 25th, 2008, and Samurai Warriors 2, which is going to be available on June 27th, 2008.

Rockstar's Sam Houser: GTA MMO a "very compelling proposition"

In a recent 1UP interview Sam Houser says he finds the idea on his good side but admits that finding how to get GTA players interested in a MMO space is the challenge.

He says they would need to work on taming the chaos of freedom that is GTA so they don't get "everybody running around and firing f----ing rocket launchers."

Not the greatest news for the PC release of Rainbow Six Vegas 2, but it appears that the game contains a pretty bad flaw which causes your hard drive space to be eaten up every time the game crashes as it creates a “MemDump” file that takes up nearly 1GB of space.

The Paradox Interactive Forums have reported on some bad news regarding Lost Empire: Immortals. It appears that the development team behind the game, Pollux Gamelabs, have halted all productions due to financial constraints, which means future support for Lost Empire could cease to exist.

Voxelstein 3D 0.101 Free Game released

The free game Voxelstein 3D has been released. This FPS was inspired by the classic Wolfenstein 3D and retains the dated look. Based on the Voxlap engine, the game uses voxels instead of the traditional polygons which aids in making the environment very destructible, among other things.
