'Alone in the Dark' predicted to shift 2-3 million copies at its launch

David Gardner of Infogrames believes the game will sell around 2 to 3 million when it hits stores this June. The company recently appointed ex-Sony Phil Harrison as its president, presumably to whip finances into shape.

The horror adventure will be on Xbox360, PC, Wii, PS2 and with plans for a PS3 version "to follow."

We've published 3 new screenshots for Fallout 3, which is in development by Bethesda Softworks and is currently set for release on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC.

Fallout 3 will be released in November 2008.

Version 1.4.1 of the turn based strategy game The Battle for Wesnoth has been released. Changes include new music, extra elven portraits, and of course, bug fixes.

Chronicles of Spellborn suffers ANOTHER delay

From the Duke Nukem Forever book of "will it ever see the light of day", long-awaited MMORPG The Chronicles of Spellborn has been delayed once again - this time until Autumn 2008.

It's not all bad news, though. Since the beta test began in March, reports suggest that the graphics and gameplay are of high quality and are only going to see more polish between now and release. The developers have also decided to make "changes to the server infrastructure".

Savage 2: A Tortured Soul Patch released

S2 Games has released patch 1.4.3 for Savage 2: A Tortured Soul. The patch includes balance changes, bug fixes, the ability to add promotional codes in-game, and changes to the map rotation system. This patch can be aquired via the game's auto-updater.

The latest episode of Sam & Max is finally going to hellishly grace PCs everywhere. "What's New, Beelzebub?" is this season’s finale and it sees the gun totting psycho crime fighters bargain with the devil himself.

The latest adventure will launch on Telltales own website tomorrow on Friday, also they've "got big news coming shortly" too.

The launch of the latest PS3 firmware and the remodelled PlayStation Store will simultaneously go live in Japan on April 15th.

There's been no comment from Sony when European gamers will see their new online shopping mall. Japanese gamers can win vouchers for exploring the new store.

'SAGA', world's first persistent MMORTS is getting first big updates

The SAGA team say they're working non-stop to help fine tune the game, more importantly they announced a wave of updates for the online RTS.

8,000 have already joined the MMO since its recent launch, they're happy with their "Refer-a-Friend" promotion which is still running, offering free goodies.

Rumour-mill: Microsoft's Xbox360 motion controller called "Newton"

8Bit Joystick.com adds their Internet voice to MTV's, they claim the in-development motion controller is code named "Newton".

The basis of belief in "Newton" is the trail that leads from a company called Gyration, an early innovator of these kinds of devices. Nintendo licensed their technology for the Wii; Microsoft is believed to have now too.

EA revealed the price tag, which presumably are engraved in platinum gold and encrusted with precious jewels, of the Instrument Edition for £129.99. This includes the three peripherals, but not the game which costs £49.99.

This is £90 more expensive for UK gamers than our US brethren. Harmonix say "we're not trying to rip anybody off."

EA upset fans with DLC pricing, Battlefield Bad Company boycotted

Fans felt EA was attempting to fleece gamers with the option to download new weaponry at a cost. A portion of the Battlefield community has launched a pre-emptive strike with promise to boycott the game.

EA claim they don't upset gameplay balance, either way fans have distaste for this arms deal.

Creative Assembly and Sega have released the first patch for M2TW - Kingdoms expansion. This 100MB - 200MB patch (depending on locality) addresses a range of bug fixes and minor tweaks to game balance and play.

They plan to attack on two fronts, one with a MMOG set in the "Fallout" franchise and the second is to unleash a wave of sequels to games like Earthworm Jim, Dark Alliance, Descent, and MDK.

They plan to make a new website go live to "streamline our ability to communicate development progress with the public."

BioWare and Demiurge Studios delay 'Mass Effect' for PC, slightly

Mass Effect will hit the PC not on the 6th but now the 28th of May in the US, while the European release slides to June 6th.

The development team which is a close collaboration between BioWare and Demiurge agree they'd like just a little longer to "deliver the quality that our fans deserve."

The game still being years away doesn't seem all that shy and it’s certainly a RPG at heart but with focus strongly toward action-packed fire fights.

Creative director Joe Madureira assures PC Gamer that all important races to the lore "will be represented." The MMORPG is being handled by THQ's Vigil Studios.

SEGA "regrettably" announce closure of UK based Racing Studios

The publisher has decided to close down the Birmingham studio; it released SEGA Rally for Xbox360, PS3 and PC last year to good reception. Unfortunately it didn't make too big a splash.

SEGA Racing Studios employed 60 people and had a numbered of unannounced projects being worked over.
