Rocksteady has made it clear that Batman: Arkham City will not have a multiplayer or co-op mode, dashing players' hopes to perhaps help Batman out as Robin, Nightwing or Catwoman. The developer stated that the sequel's focus on single-player will help make it a better game.

High Moon Studios is developing Activision's Transformers: Dark of the Moon tie-in to the upcoming third Transformers film from director Michael Bay.

It intorduces "Stealth Force gameplay" which gives us a "third form beyond robot and vehicle" modes. We fight "epic battles on Earth" that lead to the film.

Leia and Solo in LEGO Star Wars III

LucasArts has announced that Princess Leia and Han Solo will be in LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars as unlockable characters - galactic Valentines.

They also mention their interactive website where fans can "solve puzzles", even "dance with General Grievous" and be able to unlock Star Wars characters.

Developer Ninja Theory of Enslaved, published by Namco Bandai, talks about the world it inhabits, its reception in sales and it's voice acting talent.

Relationships motivate to do "amazing, or terrible, things" and it's a "brilliant subject to explore," as they did in Enslaved. "Obviously not" happy with sales.

THQ core games VP Danny Bilson hopes "people are downloading Stacking like crazy," because he wants to be making more games with Double Fine.

The quirky puzzler has been experiencing rave reviews. It "looks and plays unlike any other" digital title said THQ. Gamers of "all skill levels" can enjoy it.

According to a report the DICE team working on Mirror's Edge 2 have been reassigned to another project, which has "stalled" the entire sequel game.

So far EA has said they won't "comment on speculation." The original released in 2008 to low sales but high critical praise. Has Battlefield vanquished it?

Activision has breathed fiery life back into the Spyro franchise with Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure, due to be a complete multiplatform release this autumn.

It's being accompanied by a full toy product range along with trading cards. Activision says they're after gamers aged 6 to 12. Toys are 'portaled' into the game.

Ninja Theory's Enslaved: Odyssey to the West fell victim to the "very busy season" that is the run up to Christmas. Its quality "guaranteed a hit" say Namco Bandai.

It was the publisher's fault as they "didn't do a good job" calendar wise; it retailed in October. The quality "speaks for itself" as an "80+ rated game".

Publisher Activision, aside from butchering their music genre studios, has also revealed there will be no new skateboarding title from them this calendar.

There are to be "no new music or skateboarding games" in 2011. The Tony Hawk franchise is still nursing its wounds from Ride and Shred's dismal entries.

Activision Publishing CEO Eric Hirshberg explained their decision to cancel United Front's True Crime: Hong Kong, an open-world Triad infiltrator.

Essentially their "most optimistic" expectations for the title were bad, real bad. Hirshberg says bluntly that it "just wasn't going to be good enough."

News coming out of San Mateo is that Activision has gone on a budget slashing attack, axing the Guitar Hero series, canceling True Crime: Hong Kong, and severely cutting the DJ Hero 2 development team.

An announcement is expected tonight ahead of the publication of Activision's financial results.
