BBC reporter Marc Cieslak has commented he's not shocked by the level, just "a little bit saddened." Thinks it's quite a childish inclusion.

Thought the games industry "had moved beyond" controversy for controversy's sake. The whole thing wasn't necessary to have in there.

While LucasArts were busy resurrecting Monkey Island with the Special Edition, which released this summer, a dev found some gems.

Designer Adam Bormann was riffling through old SCUMM code and come across loads of old stuff, just "commented out" and not removed.

Ubisoft are turning up the racy affairs with Assassin's Creed 2, offering if you will some hot coffee of its own. Gamers can play a mini-game.

This mini-game is one of "seduction" according to ESRB ratings, which includes buttons for kissing and dress removal - you scamp Ezio.

Publishing sources close to MCV have confirmed that Microsoft's Project Natal will launch in November 2010, and should could cost under £50 too.

These details come from a behind-closed-doors Microsoft tour of UK publishers and studios, with detailed information on launch plans and the tech being shown to grant more development support.

Yoichi Wada of Square Enix has revealed the Japanese master of Final Fantasy XIII is complete, with the western version nearly there.

Wada-san notes the last stages have gone "very smoothly this time." It also took a "tremendous amount of time" to develop this gen.

Infinity Ward's Robert Bowling has said Spec Ops is "a great mode" and could be "expanded if we want." They're mulling it over, on break for now.

The studio wants to wait and see what gamers "want more of" before doing anything, and if we're "clamouring" for Spec Ops, then it's likely.

Masahiro Taguchi, the games technical director, has blogged that players waiting for Team Battles to be setup can duke it out arcade style.

It's to do with the Fight Request system, and when everything is set and the real fights begin only two players can mess one another up.

Sega doesn't hold rights to Toejam & Earl, XBLA port not concrete

Greg Johnson is the original creator of Toejam & Earl, and it's he who commands the rights to the duo, not publisher Sega as they thought.

They "got ahead of themselves" said Johnson, noting it's an "easy mistake" with contract rules. He's waiting to hear back from Sega now.

Square announce Vagrant Story for European PSN, "coming soon"

The PlayStation Network RPG, Vagrant Story, will have its western debut from publisher Square Enix soon enough, says their press tease.

It's only released over PSN in Japan for now, with a North American version still unknown. Yasumi Matsuno created the acclaimed romp.

Music composer Shawn Lee, who worked with Rockstar on the Bully game, has revealed in an interview with The Gaming Liberty that Bully 2 will be coming in the not so distant future.

"Yes. It looks like I will be doing the soundtrack for Bully 2 in the not so distant future..."
said Lee.

Ignition announces Deadly Premonition for Xbox 360

Ignition and Marvelous Entertainment have announced a new third-person survival-horror game for the Xbox 360 titled Deadly Premonition, which will be released in 2010.

Deadly Premonition puts players in the role of the intuitive FBI Agent Francis York Morgan. In the process of investigating a murder, players will examine a series of interlocking mysteries in a remote rural town and will encounter an array of complex characters pivotal to the unraveling of the storyline's mystery. Suspenseful action sequences will force players to make strategic moves, gliding by enemies in the shadows or engaging them with long-range weapons or hand-to-hand melee combat. From the unparalleled atmosphere, music and mysterious storyline to driving vehicles and exploring the entire town.

Dante's Inferno Demo launches in December

Visceral Games has announced that a demo for Dante's Inferno will be released in December. The demo includes the entire opening level and will allow gamers to get an early taste of the game before it releases on February 12, 2010.

The 'Gates of Hell' demo will introduce players to the game's hero, epic story and intense action gameplay, tracing Dante's battles from the surface all the way to the Gates of Hell. Players will experience fast-paced hack-n-slash combat as they fend off waves of enemies before taking on the ultimate battle against Death. After defeating this boss, Dante will be armed with Death's scythe, a powerful holy cross, and will be ready to tear open the Gates of Hell. The demo also features two stunning cinematic movies made by Blur, the award-winning visual effects, animation and design studio.

Valve release Left 4 Dead update, adds 'Team Versus 4 on 4' action

The latest update for Valve's Left 4 Dead has arrived via Steam, and it does just three things for the stellar zombie survival shooter.

It fixes a Crash Course achievement, erm, crash. The gem of the lot is the inclusion of Team Versus 4 on 4 "competitive matchmaking".

NCsoft: Closed beta for Guild Wars 2 in 2010, releases "year 2011"

The MMO sequel Guild Wars 2 won't be releasing any time in 2010, though "at least a closed beta" is expected by publisher NCsoft in 2010.

As for the full game, fans will have to wait for developer ArenaNet to finish "probably sometime" in 2011. Blade & Soul not until then too.

Schappert: FIFA 10 31 percent above FIFA 09, outsells PES "4 to 1"

EA's John Schappert has said during an investor call that FIFA 10 has sold more through retail than FIFA 09 has by 31 percent in Europe.

The executive also said it's "outselling Pro Evolution Soccer 4 to 1." This comes amidst EA beating their chest over core IP 'revitalization'.

PS3 Netflix now up and running, streaming discs are on their way

Sony has confirmed that the Netflix service for US PlayStation 3 users is now available, with the required streaming discs being sent out now.

It's great for PS3 users who want to "instantly watch movies and TV episodes" says Sony, with a European Movie Store due next week.

EA say they "failed" Need for Speed in past, Criterion game in 2010

EA Games' Frank Gibeau admits the publisher "failed to put adequate resources" behind the racing franchise and it suffered in quality.

Need for Speed is on the road to recovery though, with Burnout developer Criterion's take on the series expected to release sometime next year.

Gearbox release Borderlands' Zombie Island DLC November 24th

The first piece of downloadable content for Borderlands will arrive later this month, on both Xbox 360 and PS3 but no mention of PC yet.

It's called 'The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned' and has players tackle an undead army while trying to find a cure and bring peace to the cove.

IO Interactive working on unnamed multiplatform title?

We've heard reports that IO Interactive are busy working on a multiplatform game, as well as Hitman 5 and Kane & Lynch, which are to be released next year.

The game has been in development for three years, and is said to be unlike anything else, but will still retain the violence that the studio is well known for.
