Id's Rage will be visually worse on Xbox360, storage limits to blame
In a blow to Xbox360 gamers, id's upcoming open world shooter Rage will be worse off in the eye candy department because of the compression over two discs.
John Carmack revealed that getting a third disc wasn't a feasible solution with the high costs of royalty fees. He noted the consoles power wasn't the issue, just the storage.

For fans looking to get a taste of the upcoming Resistance 2 multiplayer then you'd best grab Qore's latest episode and keep tucked away safely.
The beta is expected, and I use the term loosely, this September while episode 3 will air on August 7th. They say Resistance 2 can support up to 60 online players, no small feat.

Monster Madness: Grave Danger Interview

The continuing publisher trend to port existing Xbox 360 and PC titles to the PlayStation 3 is no-doubt helping Sony Computer Entertainment to bridge the software portfolio gap so-often referred to by those keen to point out the relative shortfall of variety attached to its powerhouse console.
And, while any substantial release delays associated with the hardware's arrival seem to go conveniently unnoticed by detractors, titles such as Eternal Sonata, Overlord: Raising Hell and BioShock are bound to help cement the PS3's back catalogue of quality -- albeit a little belatedly -- while major exclusive hard hitters loom large on 2008’s horizon.
Bearing that steady evolution in mind, we here at Strategy Informer were recently lucky enough to spend a little quality alone time with none other than Lee Perez, Producer from SouthPeak Interactive, the Virginia-based publisher of action title Monster Madness: Battle for Suburbia, which first appeared on the Xbox 360 back in June of 2007 and is now on its way to the PlayStation 3 as Monster Madness: Grave Danger.

Capcom has revealed that it will not be cutting down on the amount of gore that will be present in Resident Evil 5 as an attempt to get a lower age certification.
"We’re never going to create a gore-free Resident Evil title to try and get a lower rating as it's a game about the horror experience and gore is part of that," commented Rhys Cash, Capcom UK's research and planning manager.

1942: Joint Strike takes inspiration and influence from the ‘80s 194X’s series of Capcom vertical arcade shooters. The art, sound and gameplay give the player hints of the 194X series, but will standout as it’s own unique entry. Gameplay will essentially be 2D, but the game will utilize a fully 3D engine.
