Stuart Black was one of Criterion's top guys behind shooter Black, and now Codemasters has nabbed him to work on a fresh new IP for them.

Former Sony Game Director Tom Gillo and ex-Blackrock Andrew Wilson also join him. Codies' Guildford Studio is where it's all happening.

Crytek has teased that Crysis 2 has "signature moments" only they can pull off, with no less than "five big things you'll remember forever."

Big words from producer Nathan Camarillo, who says they have a New York City unique from all others. It's "in harmony" with the Nanosuit.

Zipper Interactive know about massively online shooter MAGs balance issues, and the team is "committed" to all content being "perfectly balanced."

PS3 MAG's "possibilities are endless" with the future "super exciting" for Zipper. MAG is a "big investment" and they "built a lot of tech" for it.

Art director Jonathan Jacques-Belletete from Eidos Montreal will give a speech on Deus Ex 3 in March at the Games Developer Conference.

He'll be talking about its "Cyber Renaissance" specifically, which is "infused across fashion, characters, environments and story" say the GDC.

Lost Planet 2 producer confirms split-screen co-op for its campaign

Producer Jun Takeuchi has told Famitsu that Lost Planet 2 will enjoy two-player couch co-op for its story campaign, much like Resi Evil 5.

It's releasing for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC this year. Speculation was running riot over split-screen action for the sequel, and now it can stop.

BioShock has plenty of room for more if the sequel's audio lead, Michael Kamper, is to be believed. Rapture is just such a captivating place.

In fact it's "probably one of the most unique places ever invented," and won't be tied down. Right now 2K are "just focused" on BioShock 2.

Aliens vs Predator bonus DLC "available to everybody" post launch

For gamers who can't quite afford those Hunter and Survivor Edition's of Aliens vs Predator, fret ye not, because their DLC will be up for grabs.

Day one content for Edition owners will be 4 multiplayer maps and 2 survivor maps, while everyone else has to wait. AvP is out next week.

No PC Dead Space 2 line backpedals, is now "under consideration"

EA has noticed the PC community is a little upset over no Dead Space 2 for their rigs, and so developer Visceral say it's "under consideration."

That's by no means a concrete PC release, but it's better than the "not in the plan" remark earlier by an EA rep. It was originally coming to PC.

Ghost Recon: Future Soldier isn't just for Xbox 360 but also PS3 and PC. The console versions offer "same" gameplay, dev team and date.

The PC version will have its details spilled later, reveals Ubi's Kimi Matsuzaki. Future Soldier releases this autumn after a summer beta.

Studio founder Dylan Cuthbert says Q-Games are busy with a PixelJunk Shooter sequel, one with "a ton of ideas" on the drawing board for.

The game engine has "lots of potential" they want to explore, and it'd be a waste not to "try out more stuff." There'll be all new ship suits.

Dead Space 2 drops PC, for console and handheld says EA report

EA's Q3 fiscal 2010 paperwork has Dead Space 2 down for Q4 fiscal 2011, but it's not coming to PC, just consoles and handheld only.

This could mean a PC version will arrive in fiscal 2012, or that EA has decided to abandon the PC version. It retails January-March 2011.

Ubisoft aren't ready to reveal Ghost Recon: Future Soldier platforms yet

Ubisoft announced Ghost Recon: Future Soldier this morning, with the Xbox 360 being the only platform confirmed. When we asked Ubisoft about PS3 or PC versions, the firm told us that it won't be revealing the platforms just yet as we'll have to wait for more announcements.

"We aren't communicating the formats just yet, you will have to wait for further announcements in the coming months." said a spokesperson.

Survey: Dead Space Extraction, Planet Cracker for XBLA and PSN

A recent survey reveals plans to bring Dead Space Extraction to Xbox Live and the PlayStation Network, as part of a pre-order plan.

It would be the same "guided" FPS but in "full HD." Planet Cracker meanwhile is all new, and a "resource strategy game" for Dead Space 2.

Eidos Montreal remains busy working on Deus Ex 3 but it may have gotten a new name if Square's latest trademark is anything to go by.

The third instalment is a prequel to events in the original Deus Ex game. Square Enix are publishing and producing all CG cinematics.

According to the ESRB summary, EA DICE's Bad Company 2's singleplayer has a trip down memory lane before arriving in the 'present'.

Specifically they say players "conduct missions" on an unknown Japanese Island "during World War II" before they move into "modern day".

Developer Rebellion says the massive demand from gamers for Aliens vs Predator's multiplayer demo on PC revealed some issues.

Matchmaking was sluggish or not letting some "find games at all," but that was corrected by the studio. They're looking into "similar" PS3 woe.

Director Marcus Nispel is helming a web promo for F.E.A.R. 3 according to a leaked casting call, which held auditions in mid-January.

Nispel recently remade Friday the 13th. It reveals quite a few spoilers and character developments. So far the game is unconfirmed.

Developer Crytek has been very busy with Crysis 2, moving it from a jungle island to an urban one as it's set in the very tall New York City.
