O-Games is proud to announce that none other than John Daly himself will be in the O-Games booth at this year's E3 demoing John Daly's ProStroke Golf! "The Lion" will be on hand, challenging players to "Grip it and Rip it" and showing off the innovative ProStroke control. Announced last week, John Daly's ProStroke Golf is coming to Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system for Microsoft, PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system and PC this fall.

Real-time strategy legends Creative Assembly are taking on the sports genre in the biggest way possible, by looking to the 2012 Olympic Games.

Sources claim they're going Olympian with it releasing in time for the 2012 event in London. Recent rumours pegged them to be on Football Manager.

The first ever football sport title from Ubisoft, Pure Football, will be out this May 28th. It favours 'down the park' matches over the stadiums.

Stars battle five-aside with rules made up along the way, on themed pitches. Prince of Persia for PC arrives two weeks after consoles.

EA Sports' browser-based Tiger Woods PGA Tour Online is so not totally free, in fact it's so not free that you have to actually pay money to play it.

You can pay annually, monthly or per round. It's got singleplayer, multiplayer and tournaments for golfing fans. The beta period is over.

Developer Jadestone has announced the closure of Championship Manager Online, and how "contractual obligations" forbid them talking.

The decision to end the online game was "entirely theirs to make," said the studio referring to Eidos, and it was one made "unilaterally".

The core game is free but micro-transactions are about, but remain optional. Closed beta begins February 3rd, open beta starts in June.

Publisher Ubisoft wants to invade the sports genre and so are going after the long established FIFA and PES crowd, if reports are accurate.

Devs have been working with "several English clubs" apparently, and it's due to hit consoles in 2010. This all remains pure speculation... for now.

The latest entry in the FIFA series from EA has become the fastest-selling sports game so far. It cleared 1.7 million copies its opening week, and has scored high with most critics.

Over 10 million online matches have been played since launch, with over 155,000 users connected simultaneously at peak times. Fans show "just how much they love this game."

A deal has been struck which gets the official football players into the game, something that rival PES had accomplished a while back. Well done EA, the Netherlands is no longer fictional.
