Ubisoft wants to do right with Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood DLC

Ubisoft Montreal producer Vincent Pontbriand has admitted that the publisher wants to do better with DLC for Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, as he feels that some fans felt cheated with the DLC that it released for Assassin's Creed 2.

"We wish to do better. I think people felt cheated at the impression that there was stuff that didn't make it into the game. It's frustrating since I can understand that view but it wasn't our intentions at all." said Pontbriand.

The launch of Dead Rising 2: Case Zero was a hit for Capcom, providing a prologue to Chuck Greene's main role in Dead Rising 2 - they want more.

Capcom have said it's a sure bet they'll "bridge a link" to Dead Rising 3 with more digital bite size releases, but they "don't want to say episodic" - yuck.

Ubisoft delays Ghost Recon: Future Soldier and Driver: San Francisco

Ubisoft has revealed during an investors call last night that Ghost Recon: Future Soldier and Driver: San Francisco have been delayed into Ubisoft's 2012 financial year.

These titles had previously been scheduled for release during Q1 2011, but this change means they could be released anywhere after April 1, 2011.

ZEN Studios and Marvel Entertainment has announced Marvel Pinball, a collaboration combining great comic book characters with a videogame pinball experience on PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade.

Use your pinball skills to help Iron Man, Spider-Man, Wolverine and Blade save the world from notorious Super Villains on four different pinball tables.

Assassin's Creed Brotherhood is out today in the US and on Friday in the UK, but will Ubisoft develop another Assassin's Creed for 2011? And will it be Assassin's Creed 3?

Nothing is official at the moment but CEO of Ubisoft, Yves Guillemot, revealed during a financial briefing call yesterday that there will be something Assassin's in 2011.

LEGO Star Wars III out early 2011

Hoping to ride on the huge success of TV series Star Wars: The Clone Wars on Cartoon Network, we have LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars.

It takes place solely during the Clone War era with 20 story-based missions and 40 bonus levels. It's also got RTS style Clone vs. Droid battles.

Angry Birds coming to XBLA and PSN?

At the Social Gaming Summit in London, Rovio CEO Peter Vesterbacka revealed that the hit iPhone game Angry Birds will be appearing on Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network in the near future.

Little is known at the moment, but Vesterbacka did talk about the forthcoming Angry Birds multiplayer mode, and revealed that it will resemble “old school Worms”. Let's hope the multiplayer component will be ready in time for the XBLA and PSN versions.

Zombies!!! still planned for Xbox Live Arcade

We'll forgive you if you've forgotten about the Xbox Live Arcade version of Zombies!!!, because if we're honest we did too.

The previous developer was cut, although now it seems that development is being handled by Babaroga, who just released a version on Windows Phone 7.

Transformers: War for Cybertron sequel in 2012

Hasbro has revealed at a recent investors day that it's working on a sequel to Transformers: War For Cyberton that is planned for a release in 2012.

Activision should release this sequel on multiple platforms, and High Moon Studios are back as the developers.

Publisher Ubisoft have released a teaser trailer for the upcoming animated series they're calling Assassin's Creed: Ascendance - rain and running.

It's a very short clip they tease us with and it comes from UbiWorkshop, the guys behind other such Ubisoft promotion work - short films, comics etc.

Ghostbusters developer Terminal Reality is making LucasArts' very first Star Wars game for Microsoft's Kinect, but it's not due until Christmas 2011.

Kinect creative lead Kudo Tsunoda revealed the due date, saying it can make you "feel you're part" of Star Wars. What he's seen is "super compelling".

Stop the freaking presses! Rockstar will be throwing us a brand new trailer for Team Bondi's L.A. Noire this week, Thursday to be more precise.

It'll be with us 5pm GMT. The game has been in the works with Australia-based Team Bondi for a very, very long time. Its launch delayed into 2011.

THQ vice president Danny Bilson has revealed details about Vigil Entertainment's upcoming Darksiders 2, and it'll be War-less for one thing.

The sequel stars a "different character" and its story unfolds "simultaneously" to War's in the first game. They couldn't have an apocalypse "for each rider."

Next year apparently won't hold a release for Kojima Productions' Metal Gear Solid: Rising as it will instead wait until 2012 before the studio finishes.

Rising drops the 'Tactical Espionage Action' gameplay synonymous with the Metal Gear series and it adopts 'Lighting Bolt Action' in its place.

New Arkham City details, 'can climb'

The Dark Knight will apparently be traversing Arkham City in style as he can climb everything, and even dodge stuff. Mid-flight grabs anyone?

While this new information is in no way confirmed by developer Rocksteady, it seems credible enough despite its translation into English.

Team Ninja's Yousuke Hayashi has revealed some teasing facts and direction for the studio as they make Ninja Gaiden 3, with a prototype completed.

This new entry isn't "bound by the past" more than it absolutely must be, in that it won't get "tied down" by it. Their internal build has been "well received".

Last month Agent 47's voice actor dropped the Hitman 5 name, however Square Enix said while "flattering" they've "nothing to announce" right now.

Two online CVs though don't mind announcing it as one former IO developer worked as Hitman 5's Lead Animator. Another says its 2011 bound.

Saints Row keeps "outrageous" fun

Saints Row 3 from THQ and Volition maybe getting a huge tune up visually and in its overall tone, but it's definitely staying "outrageous and over the top".

The studio has "completely enhanced" the raw tech and it's "look and feel", but it stays true to its roots. THQ plan an "innovative marketing campaign".

Darksiders 2 due sometime between April 2012 and March 2013

If you really enjoyed THQ and Vigil Games' Darksiders and can't wait for a sequel to the action game, well, you're in for a real long thumb-twiddling.

THQ has Darksiders 2 releasing in their fiscal year 2013, which is anytime from April 2012 to March 2013. The new IP was a hit selling 1.2m its first month.

Dead Space 2 features 4v4 online multiplayer modes

EA has told Strategy Informer that Dead Space 2 will feature 4v4 online multiplayer on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.

Players will be able to play as either Necromorphs or Humans on 5 objective based maps.
