The open beta will begin on May 1st at 3 pm (GMT) but only those who’ve signup up with FilePlanet will get the chance to taste the highly anticipated MMO.
The whole game won't be available to beta testers, there's a cap at level 13 and a majority of locales are off limits. It's purely "final stress testing" says Gaute Godager. | |

Kalypso Media announced today that it has signed extensive rights to publish Sins of a Solar Empire in Europe. Sins of a Solar Empire hit the USA top ten charts earlier this year and sold approx 100,000 copies over two months. Sins of a Solar Empire will be released throughout Europe by the end of May early June for £29.99. | |
| Underground Development studio closes end of May say Activision | |

The UD studio was working on the PS3 version of Quake Wars which is due out in the US on May 27th and on the 30th elsewhere.
Formerly known as Z-Axis they have developed many a game during the studios lifetime, it was bought by Activision in 2002. | |

Majesty 2 – The Fantasy Kingdom Sim will focus on reinventing many aspects of the original game, updating the franchise for the 21st Century. According to the publisher's calculations from NPD software sales numbers, Modern Warfare has sold a whooping nine million since it's November launch.
Infinity Ward have done tremendous work in the eyes of the press and gamers, many don't seem that surprised their game has sold so many so quickly. | |

Bethesda's previous big RPG outing was Oblivion which saw its own DLC, so many have speculated that the highly anticipated return of post-apoco Fallout would surely get a look-in.
While not a solemn pledge, Bethesda's Pete Hines says "certainly it's a given that we'll look into it." | |

It was confirmed quite a while back but Atari are confident a demo is going to be launched for the Xbox360 sometime this June; the game is being released June 20th.
There's no specific date given and no mention of whether the other platforms will see their own demos. | |

The actual news of this merger was announced months ago but now that the EU has not raised any objections the deal can proceed.
Activision Blizzard will become a true goliath, surpassing even Electronic Arts as the biggest independent games publisher. | |
