Grand Theft 'Grand Theft Auto IV' postmen lose jobs, but not irony

Yes three employees, so far at least, have lost their jobs because of sticky fingers. They weren't taken to be sold but were just too eager to get their own copies it seems.

These three worked within UPS a source reveals and apparently more punishments are scheduled for today. Try not to chuckle too hard.

It's true, Microsoft have decided not to update the arcade this week because of the massive impact Grand Theft Auto IV is having worldwide.

This could also be designed to help reduce stress on Xbox Live as many will probably want to try out GTA's extensive multiplayer modes.

Former Sony executive big wig Phil Harrison is at the helm of Infogrames, he took over to help steer the company.

The SCi board has turned down Infogrames -- Atari if you like -- offer, but others are circling the Eidos parent looking for an opening to bite.

Apparently the movie star who plays the trained black-ops operative Bourne exited negotiations for his likeness and voice because of the ingame violence.

It seems linked to his mother’s public disdain for violence in videogames and its capacity to "desensitize kids", adult film shoot-outs seem okay though...

The sequel to their top-down shooter will be available on May 14th for 800 Microsoft points, which is around £6.

The sequel comes with new features that fans of the original are sure to enjoy, what's not to like about just shootin' stuff?

For any gamer whose been desperate to get their copy then you'd better hope you did the patriotic thing and order a regionally domestic copy.

It's up to the developer or publisher to region lock their creations, looks like R* was a tad wary of early sellers on either side of the Atlantic pond.

A German magazine has the beans but not being in English they could hardly spill, that was at least until the Internet ravaged the publication.

There has been a score of gamers grabbing Xbox360 achievements way before the official April 29th release date.

Microsoft has no official comment and neither have Rockstar Games. Sony also has yet to comment on leaked videos of gameplay appearing through PSN.

It hit the news a while back that SEGA was closing down their UK based Racing Studio, but now rumour has it that Codemasters may well have entered into a deal.

Reports from within the studio suggest that SEGA was looking for a possible buyer and that Codemasters is a prime runner.
