Producer and Game Director for Age of Conan, Gaute Godager, has chosen to resign from Funcom after working on Age of Conan since the initial conception, and he leaves the company after 16 years. Godager was one of the original founders of Funcom, and leaves a large legacy, having contributed to making Funcom the largest MMO company in Europe.
Ubisoft are asking fans of the upcoming Prince of Persia game for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC to take a video of themselves asking a question that they would like Ubisoft to answer, and the team will then answer the question by uploading a new video to its YouTube profile
Ubisoft has revealed in a release schedule document that the PC version of Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway will be released after its console versions, on October 3rd.
PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 owners will be able to purchase the game from the 26th September.

, he announced during the Activion-Blizzard Analysts Day that Activision intends to double the number of available Guitar Hero titles in 2009, and triple that in 2010.
Bobby Kotick, CEO for Activision-Blizzard expects that gaming consoles will enjoy long useful life times. GameIndustry.biz is reporting that during the Activision-Blizzard Analysts Day he spoke about the future of the newly merged company by pointing out that its been eight years since the release of the PlayStation 2 and that he expected to see at least eight viable years of publishing for the PlayStation 3 as well.

During yesterdays Activision-Blizzard Analysts Day, Bobby Kotick, CEO of the newly merged company, declared that with Activision-Blizzard now becoming the single largest third party software publisher, they are now able to influence the design of the next generation of gaming console systems.
During an interview with Eurogamer today, Warhammer Online creative director, Paul Barnett, said that EA "knows nothing" about launching a MMO in the European market.
That's why GOA is publishing the title in Europe, Barnett seems to think.
"GOA did it with Dark Age of Camelot and they've done it really well. They've done it in a very European way, but they've done it very well, and it's more of the same," said Barnett.
In a conference call with investors this week, Bobby Kotick, CEO for Activision, announced that Infinity Ward will be the developer for the recently announced Call of Duty 6. Prior to this announcement Activision had said that Call of Duty 6 would be published sometime in 2009, but no other details were released.

The Guardian published part of an interview with Peter Moore, the former head of Sega of America, and current President of EA Sports. The interview details how Moore eventually landed at Sega and talks a great deal about his involvement with the Sega Dreamcast. Of the launch period Moore said "Dreamcast was a phenomenal 18 months of pain, heartache, euphoria" and of the first Christmas selling season for Dreamcast "We ended up that Christmas period not being able to get to where we needed to be - we weren't far short, we just couldn't get that critical mass..."
Electronic Arts said on Sunday that they are no longer interested in acquiring Take-Two. A press release made the announcement stating that "after careful consideration, including a management presentation and review of other due diligence materials provided by Take-Two... EA has decided not to make a proposal to acquire Take-Two and has terminated discussions with Take-Two."
The release of Electronic Arts Spore with the much maligned SecureROM anti-piracy system drew mass criticism from users on the Internet. Many forum posters complained about the restrictive DRM requirements and the average customer review of the game on Amazon.com as of this writing is 1.5 stars out of 5. Many of the reviews complain about problems installing the game and reaching activation servers in order to play the game. Others complain about the limit to the number of allowed installs.

Electronic Arts took a shot at PC gamers this week when an EA Community Representative announced
on their public forums that the PC version of FIFA Soccer 09 would be a slimmed down version of the game as released on the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. The Community Rep. said that while the PC game will deliver a "very deep gameplay engine"
and that it will have "leading-edge visuals"
, the game would be simplified because the PC does not have "the CPU processing power required for the architecture of the game".
Team 17 has confirmed to VG247
that an Alien Breed remake is currently in the works, and is planned for release sometime next year, although no other details will be revealed until a later date.
Alien Breed is the first in a series of science fiction games played in the form of a top-down shooter for one or two players. It was released in 1991 by Team17 for the Commodore Amiga and later in 1993 for MS-DOS.
Blizzard Entertainment confirmed today that World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King will arrive in stores on November 13th in North America, Europe, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, and Russia, and November 14 in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand. The expansion will be available in Korea and the regions of Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau on November 18.
