The PC Play magazine has released an English version of an interview it did with Cevat Yerli, president of the German Studio Crytek, which is well known for developing Crysis. In the interview they discuss the success and failures of Crysis, but more importantly the state of the PC gaming industry.

We've published 21 new screenshots for Mass Effect, which is in development by BioWare and is currently set for release on the PC.

Mass Effect will be released on 27th May, 2008.

It seems like an ice age away since Duke Nukem Forever was first announced to an innocent and wide-eyed world.

It's still going through the motions though over at 3D Realms, it's been far too long since Mr Nukem last graced our screens, just too darn long.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Oblivion Lost 2.0 released

The OLP team released version 2.0 of their outstanding overhaul mod, Oblivion Lost. This mod tries to bring S.T.A.L.K.E.R. back to it's roots featuring enhanced free-form play; so-called "A-Life", which removes leveling and corrects bug among other things; increased realism via weapon adjustments, items changes, sounds and more. Valve's big PC update for 'Team Fortress 2' finally arrives this week

There's no specific time set but the update is coming to PC gamers this week, it'll include unlockable weapons for classes.

The Medic gets the treatment first and the new map Goldrush introduces a new mode which has one team perilously escorting a rail cart.

We've published 7 new screenshots for S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky, which is in development by GSC Game World and is currently set for release on the PC.

Microsoft clarify job postings found linked to Jackson-Halo project

The software giant has come clean about boosting their development force which is working with Peter Jackson and Bungie on "that project."

Bungie still maintain community relations and release content for Halo however their own latest project is not set within the Halo universe.

The publisher is quick to discredit the rumour of Infinity Ward looking to hold sole development rights to the franchise.

They're adament that both Infinity Ward and Treyarch will be onboard. The rumours spread from an ex-Activision employee of Underground Development which is scheduled to close.

Crash for PC version of Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Vegas 2 takes up 1GB of HD space

Not the greatest news for the PC release of Rainbow Six Vegas 2, but it appears that the game contains a pretty bad flaw which causes your hard drive space to be eaten up every time the game crashes as it creates a “MemDump” file that takes up nearly 1GB of space.

Voxelstein 3D 0.101 Free Game released

The free game Voxelstein 3D has been released. This FPS was inspired by the classic Wolfenstein 3D and retains the dated look. Based on the Voxlap engine, the game uses voxels instead of the traditional polygons which aids in making the environment very destructible, among other things.

Infinity Ward want Call of Duty all to themselves again, no sharing

According to Next-Gen, an ex-Activision employee from the recently death knelled Underground studio says Infinity Ward has entered re-negotiations to claim the franchise back.

Currently it alternates between Infinity and Treyarch but they'd like to keep their creation much closer to home.

Activision and Infinity Ward's 'Call of Duty 4' sells 9 million they say

According to the publisher's calculations from NPD software sales numbers, Modern Warfare has sold a whooping nine million since it's November launch.

Infinity Ward have done tremendous work in the eyes of the press and gamers, many don't seem that surprised their game has sold so many so quickly.

Quake Live, previously known as Quake Zero, is a free-to-play web browser based online shooter of the cult franchise.

The developer is offering beta invitations to any who want in on the multiplayer action, which is based off Quake III Arena. Not all entries will be accepted though so be quick.

The Valve team are spilling their guts on what the Medic has new to his arsenal.

The Syringe and Bonesaw are being shuffled out the door to make way for The Blutsaugher and The Ubersaw. Now those are medical instrument terms we can all deal with.

Enemy Territory: Quake Wars Upcoming Patch

A blog on Splash Damage's website details plan for an upcoming patch. It will be the 1.5 patch and is slated for release later this month. It is currently in the QA stage, but being that publisher Activision doesn't want to support the patch, the release is subject to alteration.
