Bungie teases "Super Secret" mode for Halo: Reach multiplayer
Halo: Reach will have multiplayer action, that's a given, but developer Bungie is keeping one mode very close to their chest - except to tease.

They just can't help themselves. Microsoft has reminded us all that the first Modern Warfare 2 DLC is this spring, and only on Xbox 360.
At least it'll hit their platform first anyway, in the form of two map packs from developer Infinity Ward. They've been in the works since November.

Michael Michael of PomPom Games, and I totally didn't make that up, has revealed their indie studio's 'Alien Zombie Death' will arrive soon.
It's a "new-ish breed of game" called the 'survival shooter', which has gamers play as a lone spaceman fighting off hordes of Alien Zombies.

Those other FPS games out, with online? They're shallow compared to Battlefield, says Bad Company 2 producer Karl-Magnus Troedsson.

Eric Ruth Games has released Pixel Force: Left 4 Dead, a retro de-make of Valve's zombie shooter Left 4 Dead. It looks and plays like a NES game from 1986, but is free and available to download from Strategy Informer.

It's finally here, the open beta for the hugely populated onliner MAG. It's all about shooting stuff and working in teams with 256-players.
At least it is if you play the Domination mode, otherwise it's 64-player Sabotage. The open beta runs until January 10th. It's out on the 26th.

Microsoft has confirmed that D3Publisher's Matt Hazard: Blood Bath and Beyond will be released on the Xbox Live Arcade this Wednesday.
The PS3 version will be released on Thursday, with both being priced at $15 / 1200 MS Points.

Modern Warfare 2 community manager Robert Bowling has confirmed that the upcoming patch is currently in the testing stages, so it should be available pretty soon.

Developer DICE put together the browser-based Battlefield Heroes, a free-to-play shooter, and it now enjoys over 3 million players.
