CD Projekt releasing new content through patches for The Witcher

In a bid to promote the mod community for the studios acclaimed PC RPG The Witcher, the team will be including little adventures complete with new quests. Patch 1.3 will include a story set before the game kicks off.

Gamers can use D'Jinni which is the mod toolkit for The Witcher.

Noitu Love 2 Demo released

Joakim Sandberg, an indie game developer, has released the demo of his side-scroller adventure game Noitu Love 2. The game has a very retro feel about it, reminding one of the classic NES and SNES days.

Imperium Romanum 1.02 Patch released

Haemimont Games and Kalypso Media have released the 1.02 patch for Imperium Romanum. The patch corrects some critical crashes to desktop and adds a new scenario called Augusta Raurica.

With big names of the film industry launching and expanding their foothold in gaming, and with games publishers now returning the favour with movie projects - this move by Viacom is hardly surprising.

The film giant will be focusing on new and catalogued IPs for casual and mobile gaming.

NCSoft launches 'Discover' websites for Guild Wars and Lineage II

In a bid to increase both their player base and the allure of the online role-playing game, NCSoft have put live discoverguildwars.com and discoverlineage2.com.

They hope that the sites will entice newcomers to MMORPGs to sample their "most cherished and endearing" onliners.

Flat tyre for Sony's 'Gran Turismo 5 Prologue' on PlayStation Store

Many gamers and fans of the GT series have been left feeling a little blue as the promised day early release of Prologue over PSN yesterday never materialized. Supposedly it won't appear until Saturday "at the earliest".

The game is available in stores today, and there will hopefully be an official statement from Sony today. This no-show might be related to the recent breach of the PlayStation Store.

Rockstar unveil their Social Club website, it will stat track GTA IV

Grand Theft Auto IV is going to be game of the year. In that spirit Rockstar Games has decided to let all those GTA fans/nuts prove their mettle by launching a stat tracking site for leaderboards and walls of fame.

Apparently the first 10 to complete the game 100% will receive an "ultra-rare" key to Liberty City.

More information about a possible sequel to Dawn of War has been revealed by a Belgian magazine called PCGameplay.

The Orkz and Space Marines are the only two classes that have been mentioned for roles in the sequel, although a co-op campaign has also been suggested for both races. DirectX 10 will be supported, along with multiple CPU cores.

Next month could see Valve's big PC update for 'Team Fortress 2'

While they haven't set a specific date for the update going live, Valve has been talking what gamers can expect. Most notably are unlockable weapons for the different classes and a new mode where players have to escort a mining cart through the new Goldrush map.

The planned 'Overhealer' medic unlockable has been dropped according to an email; two other mediguns will still be included with the update though.
