 From the noggin of Activison's Robert Kotick it looks very likely that Blizzard's highly anticipated revival of the classic and cult RTS franchise will be jumping on the advertising bandwagon, with hopes it will be a landmark success for future endeavours of the business model.
Blizzard is soon to be merged with Activision becoming Activision Blizzard. | |

 Valve announced this morning that Dawn of War – Soulstorm is now available on Steam for just $39.95. It's only currently available to North American residents, but will be made available to other territories this Friday, march 7th. | |

 We reported a few weeks ago that Teardown were developing a Space Hulk video game based on the 1989 board game set in the Warhammer 40,000 universe. As we expected, this project has ran into legal problems with Games Workshop and has been closed down until the situation can be resolved. | |

 The action-RPG and RTS title will be showcased with hands-on demos at this years South by Southwest Screenburn Arcade Festival (SXSW) on March 8 and 9 in Austin, Texas. Aside from offering these previews to visitors, CDV are also offering a host of their other published titles at "special SXSW show pricing". I wonder just how "special" they think special is? | |

 Gamecock Media announced today that it will publish Firefly Studios' Stronghold Crusader Extreme, a new and improved version of Stronghold Crusader. This real time strategy game for the PC features huge battles with over 10,000 units on screen, a new tactical aid bar which allows you to unleash super moves on your enemies, and a new Extreme Trail with dozens of linked missions to test even the most elite Crusader players. It'll be hitting retail shelves in May. | |

 505 Games, 1C Company, Best Way and Digitalmindsoft announced that a multiplayer beta test will be launch for the upcoming RTS game Men of War. Men of War takes place during the height of World War II. The story unfolds across three different campaigns played out through the eyes of Soviet, Allied and German soldiers. Each campaign has its own structured timeline, telling a different story of WWII spanning across Russia, North Africa, Ukraine, Greece, Germany, Italy and the Pacific. The main Soviet campaign sees two student comrades, Smirnov and Kuznetzov, join the army and quickly become brothers in arms as they rise through the ranks and experience the rigours of war. | |
