That's 3 weeks a head of the US release. The day after on March 28 will see the Blu-ray version with both carrying a £24.99 tag, unless you choose the PS3 bundle priced at £299 also available on March 28.
Oddly the downloadable version isn't any cheaper than getting it on disc, but at least the EU version carries more content that its Japanese counterpart. | |

Paradox Interactive released the demo of their turn-based strategy game Lost Empire: Immortals. The game is set in space as 6 races struggle to re-discover the technologies to travel their galaxy that was once possessed by a long-lost race known as the Eonians. Sweeney the CEO of Epic firmly believes the console has left the PC behind when it comes to gaming. Consoles have a standard set of hardware while most PCs can't meet the technical challenges of games today.
With PC titles they have to support scaling down properties to help the game run on lower-end machines while consoles games are developed one way. An unfortunate truth, one that is unlikely to change. | |

SEGA is already working with Obsidian on the Aliens RPG so now it looks like they want a Bond/Bauer spin on things. 'Alpha Protocol' is their modern day espionage romp which will hit the PC and the next-gen consoles.
Obsidian will be taking BioWare’s cinematic approach to dialogue and cut scenes but with heavy weight on "once only" NPC conversations. No endless loops? The scandal! | |

Tragedy strikes the Dreamcast realm, the site dreamcast.com hasn't been owned by SEGA for quite some time. The scammers asked users to accept an agreement and to send their console serial number to get a @user.dreamcast.com email account.
Japanese news site Mainichi confirmed this information meaning SEGA are not best pleased loyal fans and their trademarks are being illegally abused. | |

In a bold statement Gore Verbinski believes the model for games is broken with creations like Katamari winning his affections.
He's interested in breaking the rules when it comes to games development and would like to create new genres and 'anti-narrative' titles. I can only assume he meant a game that keeps its trap shut most of the time. | |

Matrix Games and Koios Works announced this morning that are currently developing a new title in the Panzer Command series of 3D tactical wargames. In Panzer Command: Kharkov, players step back to the early days of May, 1942 as both the German and Soviet armies prepare major offensives focused on the same place – Kharkov.
