Resident Evil 5 climbing aboard zombie death train, ticket stub shows...October?

We're not sure about this one, it's just a rumor for now. But we do know that Capcom said their big shooter was set for a release this year. It's still early in the year, so they could push it back...but not according to EGM and PSU magazines.
October sounds nice, but why not step it up to August, or maybe June. You know, just so we can get Gametrailer's top anticipated game of the year earlier and enjoy it like we did Resident Evil 4.

Crytek's "Crysis Weekly Update #6" detailed that their latest patch (v1.2) is in fact ready for distribution but just needs to jump the last hurdle before going live.
Apparently these patches from the developer will not only include bugfixes and balancing but will also encompass new features for the game taken from communities' "most wanted list of improvements." Cheat protection is also a high priority they say.

Hideo Kojima, creator of the Metal Gear Solid series, has revealed that Guns of the Patriots has had content cut and a lot compressed to fit the enormous game onto the Blu-Ray disc. So serious is this space issue that the Japanese voiceovers will not be available to European or North American versions and vice-versa.
In defence of the Blu-Ray discs, they will have to hold both MGS4 and Metal Gear Online which will see its beta launch in late April.
