Limited guest pass program for Funcom's Age of Conan, "first part"

For now only the owners of the Collector's Edition of Age of Conan have been issued their buddy keys to let friends play unsubscribed for seven days.

Standard copies don't have their buddy keys activated just yet but they "will soon open up" say Funcom. CE owners have five buddy keys to give away.

Namco steps in to save Hellgate London?

According to an official post on the Hellgate forums, it seems that Namco has stepped in to save the downfall of Hellgate: London.

Zack "Ozuri" Karlsson Director, Business Development for Namco has said: "I know everyone is looking for an announcement, and we'd love to make one -- but right now, many things are in flux and we don't have all the information yet. As soon as we do, we'll post here on the forums, on the website, and anywhere else we can find you."

GameTap signs deal with THQ: S.T.A.L.K.E.R, Titan Quest, Company of Heroes and more appearing on the service soon

THQ and GameTap have signed a deal that will see an array of THQ games appearing on the digital download distribution service.

The current list of games that are confirmed to be appearing on the service are GSC Gameworld's S.T.A.L.K.E.R: Shadow of Chernobly, Relic Entertainment's Company of Heroes, Gas Powered Games' Supreme Commander and Iron Lore Entertainment's Titan Quest. Even more titles are expected to be confirmed soon.

Beta access for BlizzCon attendees, Blizz urges quick registration

For those who attended the Blizzard Worldwide Invitational in '07 or this year and were given a serial number, you've been entered into the beta test for WoW's second expansion.

The news broke when Blizzard posted on the official community forums and said if you do have one of these codes they "urge you to register it immediately and without delay."

Recently Molyneux proclaimed at E3 that Fable 2 was finished so naturally we all want to know what crazy concoctions he's lining up next. Could one such idea be an MMO?

He teasingly let slip that he's "been looking at MMOs," but he wouldn't elaborate any further as those pesky PR goons are keeping him on a tight leash.

Microsoft to release 25 new missions for Ninja Gaiden II

Microsoft announced today that it will be releasing 25 new missions for Ninja Gaiden II on Xbox 360, which is said to be the "equivalent to a whole new campaign mode".

The Mission Mode pack will be released on July 25th, priced at 800 Microsoft Points.

Blizzard team confirm WoW acheivements "and are just plain fun"

The World of Warcraft developer has posted a new page detailing the new feature which will go live with Wrath of the Lich King's launch.

There'll be a host of categories for achievements and they won't be skimpy with humour either. Blizz also say that new ones will be added with future content updates.

Mythos team at Flagship Studios bids "a fond farewell" to fans

The troubled Flagship which recently confirmed that scores of staff layoffs were true has posted a 'thank you' note to fans on their Mythos community forums.

Despite this message of farewell to "an incredible community that we've all felt priveleged to be a part of," the team reiterates their "hopes to stick together."

Heroes and Villains collide in NCsoft's MMO, universes merge

The City of Heroes and the City of Villains are to become one as NCsoft unveil their future plans for the online superheroes. Subscription to one will now net both games.

One more step awaits -- announced later in the year -- which will complete the merging of Heroes and Villains. The team proclaims this as "an evolution of the IP".
