During EA's E3 press conference, DICE rolled out the big guns with Battlefield 4 and revealed what Commander Mode means for the upcoming new shooter. They also showcased just how crazy destruction has got.
Battlefield 4 has something they call 'levelution' which means the map and player tactics can drastically alter after, say, collapsing a skyscraper. We're treated to such a spectacle.

Bethesda has released a 2 minute long story trailer for Wolfenstein: The New Order explaining how in this alternate history the Nazi regime rose to be a global superpower that crushed the Allies.
It gives a glimpse into what could have happen, in typical Wolfenstein-style, if the German scientists had of developed the atom bomb first and used it. The answer? Nazis on the moon.

Respawn Entertainment, the new home for former Infinity Ward veterans, has a game in the works by the name of 'Titanfall' according to a leaked image of Game Informer's next issue. It's for Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
It's also for PC, with the Xbox 360 version being 'the port' that's handled by an external studio. The mag says Respawn is debuting its "bold vision for next-gen multiplayer" - whatever that might mean.

Bohemia has announced a pre-E3 content update for the ArmA III alpha test which adds two new sniper rifles to the players' arsenal. The "Sniper Package" includes the Gepard GM6 Lynx and the M320R Long Range Rifle.

For those who'd like some anonymous online Battlefield gaming, DICE actually plans an "invisible mode" to be patched into Battlelog, with their current "goal to introduce new privacy before BF4", but that could slip.
This should keep players hidden when they're logged in, and mask what servers they've picked, which would help cut down the online stalking and trolling. Battlelog is DICE's social stat-tracker.

A very arcade twin-stick shooter affair is the newly revealed Halo: Spartan Assault, which is being released by Microsoft Game Studios as a Windows 8 exclusive, meaning it will support mobile devices.
This is not your typical FPS Halo, so PC gamers still aren't necessarily getting much Halo love. That it's Windows 8 exclusive will definitely keep its audience small time.

Sniper Elite v2 International Edition gets German release

UK developer Rebellion has announced that the German USK has given Sniper Elite V2 a videogame rating of 18+, allowing the game to be released in the country. The International Edition for Germany has also been approved for the territory.

Those misfits from Bad Company aren't getting a sequel anytime soon as EA confirms that they "don't have it in active development," but are instead all about Battlefield 4 this year. The last entry was in March 2010.
Bad Company offers a lighter toned Battlefield with plenty of comedic banter between the squad. Multiplayer from Bad Company 2 led the charge for a long-time before Battlefield 3 showed up.

Sci-fi first-person shooter Prey 2 is apparently getting thrown over to Dishonored's Arkane. Bethesda has been trying to get someone to take the project since splitting from Human Head in 2011.
Some Arkane devs don't want it, apparently. Other tipsters alleged that Obsidian was working on it at one stage, and Rebellion turned it down. Prey 2 is one orphaned game project at this stage.
