Trine has already been released on the PC (You can read our review here), but what about the PlayStation 3 version? Nobilis told Strategy Informer that it doesn't have a firm date yet, but hopes the game will be available in September. "Concerning the release of Trine for the PS3 I do not have a firm date yet unfortunately. However it is likely that it will be released in September." said a spokesperson. | |

Mark Darin, season and co-lead designer for Tales of Monkey Island, has said Telltale Games are enjoying they're "most successful" franchise to date.
The first Monkey Island episode went like hotcakes. Telltale has already released episodic adventures of Sam & Max, and more recently Strong Bad's Cool Game For Attractive People. | |

Welsh developer Arberth Studios is looking for Welsh people to translate Rhiannon: Curse of the Four Branches into Welsh as the company can't spend over £16,500 on doing it commercially. "Although the company is based in Wales, all three members are England born and raised and what little Welsh we have is not up to the subtleties of the 30,000 or so words contained in the Rhiannon materials." said co-founder Noel Bruton. "If we did find people to translate it perhaps we could give them something if we made something out of the sales." | |

Disney Interactive Studios announced today that it will be developing a game based on Tim Burton's upcoming Alice in Wonderland film, which is set to release in Cinemas on 5th March 2010. In development for the PC, Wii and DS, Alice in Wonderland allows players to guide, protect and aid Alice as she journeys through the world of Underland while unraveling the game’s many twisted mysteries. Along the way, players call on a diverse and unique cast of characters such as the Mad Hatter and Cheshire Cat who each have unique abilities to help evade traps and solve challenging puzzles. The Mad Hatter can help Alice alter her perception of Underland and take advantage of optical illusions to open up places in the world the player alone would not have noticed. Meanwhile, the Cheshire Cat can use his ability to make himself and objects appear and disappear helping Alice through this strange world. Players must choose wisely when using each of the characters’ powers and combine the abilities to solve more complex puzzles. | |

Koch Media has revealed to Strategy Informer that the upcoming PC adventure game, The Whispered World will be released on 23rd of October 2009 in the UK. In the vein of classic adventure games, gamers direct Sadwick and his constant companion, a little worm named Spot, through the gorgeous backdrops of the game world. Hand-painted backgrounds filled with animated details and lovingly crafted characters in the style of classic animated films bring the story to life. The Whispered World meshes fairy-tale elements with melancholic undertones to create an epic fantasy story. | |

Remedy has been talking about the 5 year development process for Alan Wake, as it was originally announced back in 2005. Sam Lake, lead writer, tells Joystig that Remedy is not a factory. Warner Bros. And TT Games announced today that it's teaming up with the LEGO Group to develop a Lego game for Harry Potter, based on the first four Harry Potter books and movies. The game is called LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4 and offers a mix of magical gameplay and light-hearted humour. It's set for release in 2010. LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4 will give gamers the chance to experience the magic and adventure of Harry Potter in a new and uniquely LEGO way. Playing as Harry Potter, Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger, as well as other favourite characters, gamers will have the opportunity to attend lessons, cast spells, mix potions, fly on broomsticks and complete tasks to earn house points. Throughout the game, players will also have the freedom to explore iconic settings from the wizarding world including Hogwarts castle, Diagon Alley, the Forbidden Forest and the village of Hogsmeade! | |

Electronic Arts and Warner Bros today confirmed that the Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince video game will be released worldwide on 30th June 2009 for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. In the game of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, players will return to Hogwarts to help Harry survive a fraught sixth year. They will also have a chance to engage in exciting wizard duels, mix and brew magical ingredients in Potions class and take to the air to lead the Gryffindor Quidditch team to victory. Players may even get sidetracked by Ron’s romantic entanglements as they journey towards a dramatic climax and discover the identity of the Half-Blood Prince. | |

Darkling Room today announced the official production of a third Dark Fall game, titled Dark Fall: Lost Souls. The horror/adventure is written, once again, by series creator, Jonathan Boakes, the writer of The Lost Crown: A Ghost-Hunting Adventure. "It's a guilty pleasure to drag gamers, kicking and screaming, back to the creepy train station and hotel, seen in the first Dark Fall game. Electronic Arts and Spicy Horse today announced that they have signed a publishing deal for an all-new title based on EA’s 2000 classic, American McGee’s Alice. The game reunites EA with American McGee, the creative visionary behind the original game. The new title will be developed for the PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. "This new project is a dream come true for me and the fans who've kept the Alice flame alive," said American McGee, senior creative director at Spicy Horse.
