Watch Dogs isn't the only Ubisoft property that has been delayed, as the publisher has announced that The Crew, which was to be released in the first quarter of 2014, has been delayed til the third quarter 2014.

Need For Speed: Rivals' Redview County "well over 100 miles" of open road

Developer Ghost has revealed that Redview County in Need For Speed: Rivals is 16X16 km with "well over 100 miles" of open road to tear along with "speeds over 200mph". It's larger than Most Wanted.

There'll also be "different shortcuts not shown on the map" to discover, which has become a staple of the series. New cars are unlocked through completing Speedlist or Assignments.

Following the announcement that Carmageddon: Reincarnation will be coming to Steam Early Access in Q1 2014, developer Stainless also revealed that backers would receive only the standard game.

This meant all future DLC would have to be purchased, and that didn't sit well with backers who ultimately gave Stainless the opportunity to make Reincarnation.

A storm's brewing - or is it? It could be. Codemasters have announced they're revising the weather system in F1 2013 with 'scenarios' that are randomly picked and are much longer at 4 hours.

This improves on the localised weather that had it raining on certain sections of track. Codemasters use "historical data" for weather on tracks based on the seasons.

Ubisoft sees The Crew "as an RPG," with players investing "time and money" in cars

Creative director Julian Gerighty feels his team's racer The Crew is actually "an RPG," and he credits the connection players can form with their cars as they sink "time and money" unlocking their potential.

The extensive customisation options they have in The Crew is a prime example of its RPG qualities, argues Gerighty. He draws on his personal love of his 'not great' car. "It was my space."

Swedish developer Ghost Games now 'owns' the Need for Speed franchise as they take over from Criterion Games, creator of the latest instalment Most Wanted. It "cannot go from black to white" anymore.

Black Box and Criterion had their own styles for Need for Speed, and that caused the veteran racer franchise to 'lose credibility'. Now fans will "know what to expect".

Various missions are showcased in this latest video, which can be undertaken solo or with a 'crew' of other players. There's also a limited edition 2013 Ford Shelby GT 500 version teased.

Codemasters reveal full Classic Edition for F1 2013

The previously announced 80s and 90s car and track content for F1 2013's Classic Edition has now been fully listed by Codemasters. 1980s Cars & Drivers and two tracks are offered to normal F1 2013 copies.

The 1990s Content is entirely exclusive to the Classic Edition, as is the Classic Tracks Pack adding Imola and Estoril. F1 2013 releases on PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 October 4th in the UK.

The immense 5000 km-squared world of Ubisoft's The Crew is friendly to those who prefer a more solitary race about town. The game's campaign is entirely soloable, but co-op is available "on-the-go" anytime.

The team took a "very modern approach" to have multiplayer "extremely adaptable," so players can drop in and out of online play when it suits them. You can "always blacklist someone" from traffic.

Cringe worthy puns aside, the Community Patch that's been "driven by your feedback" is on its way to Codemasters' GRID 2. Fans will get the original's Demo Derby mode patched in for free.

Codemasters has just released the Peak Performance Pack DLC for racer GRID 2, which adds six cars with unique paintworks, body modifications and engine tuning. Each are Tier 2 vehicles.

This latest add-on is priced at 400 MSP/£3.19 and is available now for PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of GRID 2. The cars are for solo, multiplayer and split-screen.
