Today is the release of Firaxis' first downloadable content for XCOM: Enemy Unknown. It's called Slingshot and has been made available for all versions of the turn-based strategy revival.
Three new maps are included which link to a new set of Council missions, as well as a new squad character and more customisation options. It's time to work with the Triad.

Slitherine announced their History Channel-backed turn-based strategy game Legends of War: Patton for PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. While a 20th November release date for the PC version was revealed at the time, the developer has now given a February 2013 release for the console versions.

Julian Gollop, creator of XCOM, has confessed his genuine surprise at the volume of noise from fans to remake or "re-engineer" Chaos: The Battle of Wizards, which released in 1985.
It's a turn-based tactics title published by Games Workshop, and developed by Gollop for the ZX Spectrum. He has "always agreed" to requests for a remake.

Firaxis has posted the changelog for their second patch update for XCOM: Enemy Unknown, which includes an easier time of beating back the intergalactic invasion forces when set on easy difficulty.
The team don't have an exact date on the patch. They also address some SHIV related hiccups. The upcoming fixes may not include something for the defeat screen bug at the game's end.

For all you game show enthusiasts, two demos have popped up for two classic ones on Xbox Live Arcade: Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune. Both titles were released on XBLA on the 16th October.

Team17 has announced that the latest Worms title, Worms Revolution, is now available on Xbox Live Arcade, PlayStation Network and Steam. The game costs £10.99/$14.99/ €13.99 on PC and PSN, and 1200 Microsoft Points on XBLA.
