3D realms announced this afternoon that Duke Nukem Forever, the highly anticipated title that has been equally awaited since the dawn of time, will be released (fingers crossed) in Q4 2008 for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.

"we may miss the mark by a month or two, but I feel very confident that we're on target this time.” said Scott Miller.

UPDATE: 3D Realms have confirmed that this release date isn't correct, Duke Nukem Forever is still in for a when it's done date.

Red Faction 3 has long been rumoured but now, finally, CEO Brian Farrell during THQ's latest investor conference has unveiled its existence. While referred to as "Red Faction III" this may only be a working title as no additional information has been wrestled from THQ just yet, but with more promised soon in the coming weeks.

Using next-gen consoles and the latest PCs, Farrell firmly believes the franchise can be bigger and better than ever with "more exciting destruction technology".

Currently planned for release on the PC, Xbox360 and PS3. There's no confirmed release date but it is planned for THQ's 2009 fiscal year (April 2008 - March 2009).

Bungie has revealed during a recent podcast that its currently working on a new project that isn't in the Halo universe. It'll be “totally different” from the FPS series that the developer is well known for.

"We can say... that Bungie's next game, that isn't Halo 3 expansion and DLC-type stuff, this would be something totally different from Bungie," said the developer.

Lost Planet Colonies is a title that has been filled with mystery since it was revealed last year. In may of 2007 Capcom registered the trademark for Colonies with the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Then the mystery was opened up again with everyone talking about a listing on a German USK rating board.

Now the title has appeared for the first time in 2008 with a listing on the ESRB website where it was rated “Teen” for the PC and Xbox 360.

Yesterday reports spawned across the Internet regarding the possibility of a Grand Theft Auto movie almost being put into production but the deal fell through last spring.

Rockstar boss Dan Houser has now comment on these rumours by saying that the MTV deal that they were offered was no more interesting than any of the other offers they had.

Ubisoft announced via its release schedule that Rainbow Six Vegas 2 will be released on 21st March 2008.

The US magazine GamePro has unleashed the next cover art for its February edition, which reveals that Gears of War 2 will be featured in this issue of the magazine.

The pictures shows two references to Gears of War 2, one on the top and then a picture on left side of the magazine which shows the old logo with a number 2 spliced onto it. If this is an announcement or further information confirming its development than you would have thought it would get the front page premier, but a Rainbow Six: Vegas 2 preview has claimed that fame.

Midway has confirmed today that Unreal Tournament 3 for the PlayStation 3 will be released on 22nd February 2008.

The PC version of Unreal Tournament 3 was released in November 2007 with the Xbox 360 version coming after the PlayStation 3 release.
