Activision announced today that Blur, the upcoming racing game by Project Gotham Racing developer Bizarre Creations, has been delayed until 2010. The game was to be released in November for PS3, PC and Xbox 360.

"We are committed to making Blur a great new racing franchise, and we are very encouraged by the game's design," said Mike Griffith, President and CEO, Activision Publishing.

Exclusive to the Xbox 360, Forza Motorsport 3 arrives in the UK next month on October 23rd with Microsoft confirming it'll be accompanied. Modern Warfare 2 isn't so special after all.

Forza 3 will also be bundled with a 250GB Xbox 360, though it's unclear if it's a custom paint job. The "Super Elite Bundle" comes with 2 wireless controllers and a standard game copy.

Microsoft and developer Turn 10 have confirmed that Forza Motorsport 3 has entered its "final lap before launching" on October 23rd exclusively for Xbox 360.

Before that though a demo for Forza 3 will debut September 24th on Xbox Live, and lets gamers sample five "amazing cars" in a full circuit of the "Camino Viejo track." Damage is on.

Developer RedSpotGames has come out with news that Dreamcast can expect a new title this October when they release Rush Rush Rally Racing through online retailers.

The racing game uses a retro style in a Micro Machines kind of way, with the studio releasing a trailer for Dreamcast fans. This is in celebration of the Sega consoles 10th anniversary.

EA Sports boss Peter Moore has revealed they've parked up NASCAR in favour of the new mixed martial arts franchise they started. Need for Speed to fill the void?

Moore "thoroughly enjoyed" the relationship with NASCAR when he first arrived, but EA Sports MMA looks too good to pass up. EA "had to redeploy" the racer devs to the MMA project.

N+ developer Slick Entertainment is busy working their magic on 'ScrapMetal', an old style top-down racer with modern physics and HD pixels, coming to XBLA next year.

Some screens have surfaced and they're hot, because some have fire in them. Looks like there'll be challenges galore and plenty of chances to drift corners like a top-down pro.

Two oldie racers have now made their way to Xbox Live Arcade and can be downloaded for GBP 19.99 each in the UK, one from Black Box and one from Criterion Games.

Need for Speed Prostreet takes the usual high octane antics of the NFS series and tames it as the player goes pro. Burnout Revenge is more of the same Burnout crazy, but only crazier.

Project Gotham Racing developer Bizarre Creations is behind Activision's upcoming racer Blur, blending high octane cars with Mario Kart style antics and shenanigans.

The studio wanted to "move beyond traditional racers" and bring back some mayhem. It has 20-player online races with 4-player split-screen offline. It's for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.

Codemasters announced today that the Games for Windows LIVE edition of Colin McRae: DiRT 2 will support the advanced features that are available in DirectX 11.

With DirectX 11 hardware expected to ship in the second half of 2009, and DirectX 11 coming to home computers with the release of Microsoft Windows 7 on October 22, 2009, Codemasters also announced that the Games For Windows LIVE edition of Colin McRae: DiRT 2 will benefit from an extended development program to take advantage of DirectX 11 and is now scheduled to be published in December 2009.

Turn 10's Jonh Wendl has confirmed that Forza Motorsport 3 is going to contain so much content that it will need to ship on two discs. The first disc will contain the full game, while the second disc will feature extra cars and a handful of tracks.

"It is going to ship on two discs," said Wendl. "Disc one is the full experience, even disc one is bigger than any other racing game out there. Disc two includes a lot of extra cars, even a handful of tracks."

This winter arrives Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth on DS, a spin-off from the more traditional roots of the series with puzzle-solving.

Monumental Games will be tuning up a new MotoGP, presumably it's 2010 edition, and will release on Xbox 360 and PS3 sometime in the future with more info "in the coming months". E3?

Rockstar Games informed Strategy Informer this morning that Midnight Club: Los Angeles South Central, set to release on Xbox LIVE and PlayStation Network today, has not yet gone live on Xbox LIVE due to an unforeseen bug in the title update.

"We are currently working as quickly as we can to resolve this issue, and we will notify everyone as soon as the DLC is made available. Thank you for understanding and your patience. Please note that this issue does not affect the DLC on the PlayStation Network - it is currently live and available for download." said a spokesperson.

RockStar announced this morning that the release date for Midnight Club: South Central has moved back a week to March 19th.

South Central comes with two components: the free South Central Map Expansion includes four new neighborhoods to explore that increases the total map size by one third, and a South Central Premium Upgrade that includes the map expansion plus new vehicles, parts, music, vinyls, hydraulics, and more.

Disney Interactive Studios today announced Split/Second, an intense action racing game set within the world of a hyper-competitive reality television show. Competitors vie to be the first across the finish line in a made-for-TV city built for destruction, with the ultimate goal of becoming the season champion. Developed by Black Rock Studio, Split/Second is scheduled to be released in early 2010 for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.

Competitors in Split/Second don't just collide with other vehicles to knock them from the track - they can also trigger explosive events that drastically alter the dynamics of the race. Players must use strategy and pinpoint timing to derail opponents, tactically alter the track or create entirely new routes.
