Ubisoft peddling its wares through Valves Steam, snub to Europe

The French-based publisher is now offering over 40 titles to be downloaded by North American users of Steam. They have for some reason kept European members out of the loop.

This means that Ubi now offers more titles than any other major house through the Steam service, beating SEGA, THQ, 2K, Activision, Rockstar and Eidos.

Californian based Stormfront Studios was behind the Neverwinter Nights MMORPG that ran from '91 to '97. They've announced that given the state of the economy and lack of interest in their current projects they'll have to disband.

They've been in business for nearly 20 years, and recently developed games like The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers and Eragon.

This new version which won't "use the PS3 browser" any longer, was the result of feedback from PAL PS3 gamers, that being the region not a comment upon their skin complexion.

This new store design will need everyone to upgrade to the new 2.30 firmware, which Sony is yet to fully announce.

Capcom acquire the exclusive license for MotoGP on all platforms

They plan for MotoGP's 2008 season to reach Xbox360, PS3, PC, Wii, PS2 and mobiles. It will also include the top manufacturers Honda, Yamaha and Suzuki along with some top riders.

Capcom now also control K2, the studio responsible for the Tenchu and Valhalla Knights games.

Byron: Stop "blaming industry" for problems, that's "number one"

After the recent publication of The Byron Review, which looked into the games industry and online access for children, Dr Tanya Byron has cautioned against laying blame on gaming.

She feels they are a far more positive influence than a negative one and that people should "get a grip" on the real issues of debate and "stop panicking".

While there has been no official denial or confirmation of the list, it makes for an amusing and teasing read. They seem to have an air of authenticity about them but only Rockstar or Microsoft could say.

Possibly get ready for "Warm Coffee", "Assassin's Greed", "Dial B For Bomb" and many more.

Epic's 'Gears of War' to be a movie by 2010, script is ready to go

The script is set and now all they need is to attach a director and they plan to see the project finished for summer in 2010. The game is packed with action, guts and guns - we should see something beautiful happen.

Handling the script is Stuart Beattie who describes the movie as being an "enormous film".

CD Projekt releasing new content through patches for The Witcher

In a bid to promote the mod community for the studios acclaimed PC RPG The Witcher, the team will be including little adventures complete with new quests. Patch 1.3 will include a story set before the game kicks off.

Gamers can use D'Jinni which is the mod toolkit for The Witcher.

Noitu Love 2 Demo released

Joakim Sandberg, an indie game developer, has released the demo of his side-scroller adventure game Noitu Love 2. The game has a very retro feel about it, reminding one of the classic NES and SNES days.

Imperium Romanum 1.02 Patch released

Haemimont Games and Kalypso Media have released the 1.02 patch for Imperium Romanum. The patch corrects some critical crashes to desktop and adds a new scenario called Augusta Raurica.
