We don't really know much about this game, I haven't even heard of it before, but Triggerheart Exelica is set to appear on the Xbox Live Arcade this Wednesday, 27th February 2008. That's according to a listing on a Japanese website.

Gearbox Software is hard at work to bring Aliens: Colonial Marines, a first-person shooter based on the cult films, to the PC and next-gen consoles. They claim to keep that claustrophobic look and feel of the landmark franchise while "leveraging next-generation technology".

Other than the singleplayer story, the game will also support co-op play letting up to four players go through the experience together with each marine playing an important role. Semper Fi marine, Semper Fi.

That's right, we're getting an Aliens FPS. It took long enough. The original movie is getting close to its 30th birthday and the number of games on it, while high, haven't really lived up to their promise

But with Sega and Gearbox behind the wheel on this one, we may just be getting the first taste of a great Aliens game. Can't wait to find out more on it.

Capcom are letting the hordes loose onto the next-gen consoles. There's no official release date but Chris Kramer, the senior director of communications and community, has said Capcom have an exciting year ahead that will include Resident Evil 5.

"Just being able to see Resident Evil 5 running, I'm like 'Oh my god!'", Kramer said.

Rockstar Games have told Kotaku that they'll be experimenting with the downloadable content that is released for Grand Theft Auto 4 on the Xbox 360.

"RockStar doesn't seem sure that there are enough users with access to online content on the 360 to make it worthwhile for them to continue pumping out episodes” Kotaku reported.

The Imagina 2008 3D Technology Conference was held and Cevat Yerli, co-founder, president and CEO of Crytek, was the guest speaker. He talked about the Crysis Franchice, Far Cry movie, Crysis movie, and the CryEngine 2.

Crytek is working on presenting the CryEngine 2 Cross-Platform at the Game Developer's Conferrence.

The latest King of Fighters will be showcased in Japan at the upcoming AOU arcade show this year, with the game launching on the Taito Type X2 arcade system.

SNK Playmore a while back in 2006 speculated they would be releasing a King of Fighters game on next-gen consoles sometime in 2009 or maybe even 2010.

King of Fighters XII for Xbox360 and PS3 will be "3D mixed with 2D", to quote SNK Overseas Manager Yoshihito Koyama. KOF XII, aside from its graphical overhaul is also expected to complete the current King of Fighters saga.

Microsoft announced this morning that the latest title to appear on the Xbox Live Arcade will be Discs of Tron coming this Wednesday.

In Discs of Tron, players face off in a three-dimensional arena against the film’s villain, Sark, as they throw discs to try to knock him off of a platform. The game, which includes both classic and enhanced modes, gets increasingly more difficult as players progress. A player’s advancement through the game includes multiple platforms of different altitudes, a barricade between the two combatants and chasers, which are secondary weapons from Sark. The player’s deflector can provide necessary temporary protection from Sark’s onslaught of discs.

Now having been officially announced by Activision, Call of Duty 5 will be hitting the PC and the next-gen consoles, Xbox360 & PS3, but there are also plans for PS2, DS and Wii versions.

In development by Treyarch studios, this latest title in the series will not be seeing any more gritty modern warfare but revisiting the franchises roots back in World War II. Activision plan a release sometime before the end of March 31st, 2009.

Major Nelson announced this morning that a another demo for Frontlines: Fuel of War has been released on to the Xbox Live Marketplace. This demo will be multiplayer only and features up to 32 players which have over 60 weapons and vehicles at their disposal.
