Microsoft confirmed at its TGS keynote that the New Xbox Experience will launch worldwide on November 19th. The update will be released in 24 countries, localized in 19 languages and will contain a host of new features, along with the highly anticipated Avatar system. | |

Microsoft has confirmed that Star Ocean: The Last Hope is to be released on February 19th in Japan and March 3rd in America, although no date was given for a European release. Exclusive for the Xbox 360, although Square has said in the past that Star Ocean: The Last Hope could be developed for the PlayStation 3 in the future, but at this time there are no plans to do so. D3 have recently announced a brand new IP set to ship in the first quarter of 2009. Known as Eat Lead: The Return Of Matt Hazard, the game is a Gears-style third-person shooter with a slyly irreverent sense of humour. Starring the titular Mr. Hazard, the game’s story has been written by 2008 Writer’s Guild Award winner Dave Ellis of Dead Head Fred fame. Eat Lead will lampoon certain videogame conventions and lovingly homage some of the dev team’s favourite games, past and present (see Matt Hazard’s back catalogue shots). | |

Sierra announced today that it will be closing 21 game servers on 1st November. This is probably due to the Activision Blizzard merger, although we cannot confirm this as Sierra haven't given a reason for shutting down these servers. | |

Reuters reports that YouTube has plans to start selling video games through its website, with Amazon buttons being placed under gaming related videos. This allows users to purchase games instantly through Amazon, and the revenue will be split between Amazon and Google (YouTube owner). | |

The latest issue of Famitsu magazine has revealed that Tecmo are hard at work bringing third-person shooter Quantum Theory to the PlayStation 3.
It stars a "dark hero" called Sid with little else known what's coming PS3's way. Development is being lead by Tecmo's Keisuke Kikuchi. | |

Mizuguchi has confirmed to Kotaku that he is indeed working on an all new intellectual property; we just don't know what.

The dev team comprises a "decorated group" that has worked on PC and console hits, they've also got guys from Warcraft III's hottest mod ever.
League of Legends will give gamers RPG, strategy and a competitive arena which were all "pioneered in DotA-Allstars". A beta is planned to start next year. | |

The Media Molecule co-founder has admitted that the controls for the upcoming LBP can sometimes annoy him. It's all Z axis' fault it seems.
It's "incredibly hard" for them to get right when it comes to movement in the Z zone, presumably X and Y are having a ball of a time then. | |
